FWIW, Dallas held up well in replacing Shelly in the second half vs Buff and only gave up 1 QB hurry. Was anyone watching?

The team played much better with Thomas in the game last week than with Smith, for what its worth. I'm sure most didn't even know he was in there, I only knew because of an Omar tweet and not because of it being noticeable in the game,

Shelley was hot garbage vs the bills, and Thomas outplayed him all preseason except for the Tampa disaster. We didn't score a TD until Shelley was out and Thomas was in. Thomas isn't now, nor will he ever be a better run blocker than Shelley, but he is 10x the pass blocker. Wilfork on that first drive vs the pats pushed Shelley around like McCoy did Thomas, but after that first drive Wilfork was done. Against the bills Shelley was just terrible.

Thomas will play well this week, wait and see. He is a lot better than people make him out to be. If Williams gets most of the snaps at RB we will beat KC by 7 or more. I really like our chances this week, and I usually expect to get beat every week. We win this week and Dallas Thomas plays well.

Sometimes I seriously wonder about Philbin's judgment on some players abilities. Dallas Thomas is worse than Clabo was the first half of last season.

Bingo.

Dallas Thomas and Ryan Tannehill are a complete joke. Neither one should be starting for a team that wishes to win. Philbin is clueless.

Dallas Thomas realizes he's running out of chances to prove he's worthy of an NFL starting spot.
Because of a knee injury Shelley Smith suffered in last Sunday's 29-10 loss to Buffalo the Miami Dolphins will likely put Thomas, its 2013 third-round pick, in the starting right guard spot, giving him an opportunity to sink or swim based on his performance.
If Thomas struggles expect Nate Garner, a seven-year veteran, to replace him.
However, Thomas has failed in his two previous attempts at earning the starting right guard spot. He got the first shot at unseating an injured John Jerry in training camp of 2012 as a rookie, but struggled in the exhibition season.
