Raise your hand if you have imagined/wished that Marino would join the team to personally help develop Tannehill and take him to the next level.

Meh ... Dan was such a natural talent, I'm not sure he'd make a good coach.

I imagine he'd tell Ryan, "Just make the damn throw. Whaddya mean, how? There's easily a six inch window there."

I dont know if I am spelling this right but... Touche.

That quick release and ability to hit that small window was uncanny.

Dan probably hasn't had a football season off in 40 years, so maybe he just wants to relax and enjoy his family time. I don't know if we will ever see a Phin's QB do the things he was able to do, but the memories will always be there.

"Well if you want to work with us Dan, you have to promise to wear a condom"

Too soon?

You always hear about great players being not so great coaches because they get frustrated when they have people who can't match their greatness to coach. Some stuff you're just born with, or you hone with years and years and years of practice in your youth.

I think Dan Marino absolutely falls into that category of people who just had something you can't emulate.

Coaching aside, he could at least mentor him

"There is no defense against a perfect pass. I can throw the perfect pass" - Dan 'The Man' Marino.

Possibly pass on some pocket-awareness nuggets.
Yeah. What to look for and when.. Not necessarily coaching as in looking at tape but just anything that will help with increasing awareness and fundamentals. Tannehill does have the fastest release of any post Marino QB
