o far, Dan Marino likes what he sees from new Miami coach Nick Saban. And if Saban decides Ricky Williams' return is good for the Dolphins, then count Marino as a supporter of the move.

Marino said Tuesday that he believes the Dolphins could eventually get past the Williams retirement saga that played a role in sending the proud franchise to one of its worst seasons, a 4-12 last season. Williams' agent, Leigh Steinberg, has said his client plans to be with Miami for training camp this summer.

i guess now that Marino pardons ricky, all the ricky haters will aswell...... suck ups

Yeah, well, Dan bailed, Norv bailed, Ron Wolf wouldn't touch us with a stick, and Ricky bailed. Says a lot about last years' "Leader."

Now, all of a sudden, everybody wants to play for or be involved with the Fins. Says a lot about this years' Leader.

Dan's just postering guys. He's on the "inside" and knows what is about to play out in the Ricky situation. He's simply "signing off" on Ricky's return to give Saban support in the public's eye.

It's not to say he doesn't support Ricky's return. But, it's foolish to believe a public icon with legendary status does not "cover his @$$" from time to time.

It's expen$ive to not be politically correct.

It took Ricky 3 yrs before he quit.Marino did it in one day.The common denominator.
Wanny.

I don't buy it. Marino hasn't pandered to the Dolphin fan base since he left the team. Why start now?

Wanny drove Marino into retirement and he did the same with RW, how was he able to ruin so many teams and lives?
