This offseason has been fantastic in my books
1) Egnew and Thomas both are shown the door
2) Stadium renovations
3) I graduated law school
4) Promising mid round picks and udfa
5) Our first round pick is playing like a first round pick
and the big one better late than never.........
5) Jeff Ireland is no longer the General Manager of the Miami Dolphins

DT always had hamstring issues. Lack of conditioning.

I'm just happy Hickey cut the turds left by Ireland. Thomas and egnew were really bad picks,atrocious picks to be quite honest. Egnew will probably be out of the league soon and Thomas will hang around for a few more years as a 3rd rb somewhere. Hickey made the right move...with Daniel Thomas we knew what we were getting and it was crap but with Williams we don't know how good he can become but I'd say he already offers more to the team.

Also Thomas always had hammy issues and got concussions somewhat frequently. Cutting him on his play alone was enough but add in the injuries and it was a no Brainerd.
 
Daniel Thomas runs too straight up through the hole. That's why he gets pancaked and concussed. Good riddance

That's one of the things that used to piss me off the most about him. It seems like that's something that can easily be taught (which it shouldn't have to be taught to an nfl running back) but he never lowered his pad level. I mean they teach these kind of fundamentals in high school for crying out loud. Thomas just sucks.

Amen. I was right there with you. And for a big guy it was doubly aggravating to watch.
 
I'm not rejoicing. I honestly think Thomas could have done a lot better given a competent line, which even in his first year he never really had. I'm not really in love with Williams or Darkwa.
 
knowshawn is your starting rb. cus lamar miller still sucks as blocker.
 
I look at it this way. Any one of us could have gotten off the couch and gained 2.9 yards per carry against Ram scrubs.
Daniel Thomas was never any good and the only reason he wasn't cut after the his first training camp was because of Ireland refusal to admit another terrible pick.

Dion Jordan will follow the same path, but I think Hickey will only give him this year.
There are too many talented players, even at the bottom of the draft, that want it more than DJ.

Every time another bad player is released, it makes this team better and more talented.
Continue upgrading talent and eventually we will get there.

Hickey's contract is shorter than Jordan's.
