Daniel Thomas

Yea right lets get our opinion on the game from useless threads started on Finheaven!

Or you could actually watch the game and see the interior line was terrible AGAIN! I know it is much easier to HOMER UP and attack people telling the truth!

yeah it was terruble blocking last nite. It was hard to rate anyone offensively even the QB.

I haven't seen the replay yet but after reading this thread let me get this straight. You mean after 3 seasons with an O Line expert at head coach, firing a good asst coach to hire another OL guru, 2 1st round draft picks, countless FAs and what a 100 something million dollars spent, one guy is out and the entire line still sucks. How can this happen?

Tread lightly, Mr. Norton.

You wouldn't want anyone to question your fanhood.

This.

I'd completely buy the "our o-line sucked last night" excuse if we hadn't just spent a first round pick on a interior lineman.

Well ... the off-season threads showed all the stats ranking our O-Line 5th or 6th best in the NFL last year.

From my understanding of those O-Line stats ... last night's performance should move us up to 2nd or 3rd best O-Line in the NFL.

The didn't see the OL make one nook of a hole for him to run through last night. NO RB will run behind this garbage OL successfully on unless they dramatically improve. They were bad on run blocking and worse in pass protection. It was sad.

As soon as the ball is snapped these fat bumbling idiots fall all over themselves getting pushed to the ground. Kind of hard to run through a pile of big fat bodies.

The holes were terrible but he also wasn't running with any patience (ala his number-sake, Karim Abdul-Jabbar). The guy needs to slow down and then burst through the hole. He was so juiced up to be out there playing he was like a blind bull elk crashing through the trees in search of something to ****. Only with fewer broken tackles.

Ha I love it! Ya let him slow down and show some patience. Then you geniuses can say he's dancing in the backfield like Ronnie Brown.

Im not a big daniel thomas fan but it was the run blocking last night which was atrotious

I just don't get the entire RB situation.

Why trade up into round 2 for a RB if he's not going to be our starter?
Why go after Reggie Bush and call him a feature RB when he's never been able to do that?
Why go after Reggie Bush and NOT have him do PRs - our biggest weakness and his best asset.
We do we need Bush if Daniel Thomas was supposedly worth a 2nd - a 2nd round RB should be a complete back.
If we wanted to use a high pick and a lot of money on RB, why not just draft Ingram at 15?
If Ireland was really trying to trade back up for Mallett, then why not just take him where he took Thomas - especially if he was gonna go after Bush in FA anyway - and especially if he thought Bush in FA would give us our feature back?

I just don't get this thinking at all.

ZERO push up the middle. Incognito-Pouncey-Carey went nowhere. Incognito has to be benched. This is ridiculous. I think we need to go shopping again in FA - looks like we still need 2 more new starters.

Yes, because there's absolutely no middle ground between charging ahead at full speed up the ***** of your offensive line and dancing in the backfield unnecessarily. Brilliant!

Not to a lot of people on this site there isn't. They all mistake patience for dancing and cry for our back to just hit the hole (even when there isn't one). If you do know that's true, then you're one of them!

This.

Daniel Thomas did look like a man lost out there. But these are his first carries as an NFL back. The game has to "slow down" for him. And it will with time. Vision comes, he'll hit some holes. I'm not even blinking at Daniel Thomas yet. We need something produtive from the QB position.

I guess New England's two new running backs who ran for
118 yards and 4 touchdowns against Jacksonville will really be something considering it was their first carries in an NFL game
when the game slows down for them GOOD LORD!!
