why are you worried? it isn't like we are expected to win the super bowl or anything this year... (uh, you weren't were you?) and if this is a rebuilding year, why not get some of the younger guys some experience and find out if they can play with the big boys or not? Also are you questioning Saban's eye for talent already? IF anything last year should have proved to us that NOT taking a chance on younger guys isn't the way to win either.

Just heard Cefalo on 790AM the ticket say that Daniels was starting CB and Howard the nickel back at training camp. I know its early yet guys but im hoping Daniels will come on strong, if hes starting at training camp is it a clue to where Saban sees him, he obviously has confidence in the kid. Thoughts?

I hope it does work out with Daniels. You can't read into this yet. The pads are about to be put on, and the only reason he is running with the first team right nowm is because he knows the defense better than everyone. So it is still too early to tell, but I wish him the best and he because a successful defensive back for us.

Well he'll get alot of practice defending this year when opposing teams throw at him constantly all season long.

Remember there are only 6 healthy corners if you count Eiland, who has been converted to corner. I expect Miami to pick up a couple of guys at some point.

It is a rare team in the NFL that has more than 3 QUALITY corners. By your standards most of the teams in the NFL are thin at CB.

I think with Madison they will at least give him the privelage of letting him play out his contract that he re-structured last year, and finish his career as a Fin. It's something he said he has wanted to do and I think he deserves it.

IF he re-structures. Otherwise he'll go same way Surtain did im afraid. Poole will be expected to be future starter so Madison situation next season will be same as Surtain IMO.

Gotta say i was a bit suprised. Its way too early yet to say whats happening but i thought it was interesting. Rookies at CB usually come in at nickel to gel em in.
