Dansby irked with Dolphins Front Office

Well said. Total tackles is one of the more overrated and subjective stats. Dansby wasn't getting paid to be "efficient", he was getting paid to make impact plays. He didn't.

Channing Chowder was a tackling machine. Where is that bum now?

"For someone to take money off the table, it was disrespectful," Dansby told the Jim Rome Show on Tuesday. "There was still money in Miami and they took it off my kid's table, so that's very disrespectful to me."

Really Dansby, really? Your can't support your kids making 2.25 million? Do you serve your kids kobe beef for breakfast, lunch and dinner -- and also for a midnight snack?

Good for Dansby, I am rooting for him and agree with him, a player plays the yr with one arm and gives everything he has for his team and then gets cut over the phone.....if you are going to make a business decision and cut him at least do it in person, you owe the guy that much....this type of situation is precisely why I don't fault any player for holding out for more money or more guaranteed money...the team has every right to cut you when they want to so this is the only leverage they have, get the money after a big yr because the day you slip because of age or health they will kick you to the curb....I am glad he is using this as motivation and having one of better seasons......

The bum's now on radio with a top rated show. (Gone from a tackling machine to a talking machine, but he still pisses his pants like he did as a Dolphin - never got toilet trained as an infant).

This is without a doubt... a case of Carlos not taking responsibility for his crappy play last year... It seems its always someone else's fault... never his...

IMO... going from a $6M a year to a $2.5M year kinda tells the whole story.... That's all he is worth and Miami was smart to dump his contract...

Dansby is at his best as a 3-4 zone blitzing Inside backer...I don't think he ever really fit in here with what they wanted him to do. And because of that, his numbers didn't justify a big contract. And I don't feel bad for a guy that took a paycut and is still making more than I will in the next 20 years. Suck it Dansby.

This fool was on 560 with Crowder the other day saying if he had the opportunity all over again he would come here and that he only signed because of Parcells and Mike Nolan. Suuuuuure Karlos...whatever you say. Like the fact we were the highest bidder made absolutely no impact on your decision. Stfu.

Did he say Hall of Fame? What for? I'll take Zach Thomas over Karlos Dansby any day of the week!

Top Rated local show? Nationally he is no where to be found, besides FH.

Sometimes it seems like players come here as if they're on vacation and we don't get the same level of effort as those guys put into their jobs in other places. Maybe that's part of paying big $$ for FAs, especially when there's a big signing bonus. Once they get that bonus, they're paid and I think they just have the hunger until they get cut and feel 'dissed' and bring the hunger to their next job. Miami just never got the best of Dansby and that's just a shame.
Say what you will of Misi, but I never feel that he's 'doggin' it' out there. He's a real pro and we get his best every week unless he's really banged up. He's just not elite. He's no Willis or Bowman or in the top 20, talent-wise.
It's funny that we thought of Dion Jordan as the next Jason Taylor, because when I watch him, I think of him as the impact LB we need to cover the whole field. That speed is awesome but now he's better at coverage than rushing. Vernon is our rusher and Jordan should just take Wheeler's job. If and when Jordan puts on some muscle weight, then he can take on those right tackles (or left tackles when Miami inevitably lets Wake walk). But I see such a natural full-field LB with Jordan. He has good instincts as a LB.

My point is that if you can draft an impact pass-rusher next year, take him and don't worry about offsetting Jordan. The star-LB position is filled, IMO, more than the DE position. The DE position, especially from a pass-rushing standpoint can still be improved with competition in camp next year.

It's also childish to bash people who cut you over a business decision because your feelings are hurt. Act like a pro Dansby.

Maybe he and Burnett shouldn't have been dogging it in the game at New England last year That spoke volumes about the two of them. They were basically jogging instead of going full speed to the ball carrier. After that game even Hartline mentioned about players not playing hard. No doubt 2 of the players were Dansby and Burnett. I was glad when we cut both of them
