Dansby not happy with Dolphins’ decision to dump Chad Johnson

Insubordination is just grounds for termination in basically any line of employment.

Other employees questioning the personnel decisions of management publicly is usually an automatic termination as well. Especially in a public contact organization where media may be involved. Dansby should have been next on the waiver wire.

LOL. Produce your evidence that she had stab wounds and I'll tell you "I just learned something".

Incidentally, I don't disappear once someone produces evidence to the contrary. I leave debates once it's clear someone has fired their best shot and it came out like a limp dick. Just an FYI.

CK here is evidence from his trail for that incident it was a letter Watley wrote to Goodell. I am still looking because there was testimony from both detectives.

Her biggest challenge will be to explain away this July 29, 2008 letter to NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell: “My name is Rasheedah Watley, I am the ex girlfriend of Brandon
Marshall. I read in the newspapers that he is in trouble with the
league because of me. I will let you know that he never hurt me or hit
me, I was pressured by my family to make up certain things [to] get
money. I was told to say that Brandon hit me and hurt me so that I
could get him to pay to keep me quiet. I want you to know he never
did.”
In other words, “reasonable doubt.”

That ain't him. He don't drink, he don't smoke.

If he smoked, chances are he wouldn't be beating his wife, genius. You never hear of a marijuana wife beating. Not that im condoning our players smoking, I hope none of them do til retirement then thats their choice. But way to make it sound like you know Fin players who are smoking pot, Karlos.

Am I missing something, why does it mean pot and not cigarettes just curious did he say pot?

Dansby + Smith, listen carefully. Any opinion you may or may not have is without any value to anyone but yourselves, the only things required of you is playing football. Considering your performances were not satisfactory last year by any metric means you will focus only on the tasks you are given by your superiors within your employment scope.

The days of poorly educated morons speaking of their opinions is coming to an end.

Talk about overblown. Dansby had every right to say what he did , the nfl is very different than a so called company. Players are expected to be available to the media and such, its not like an employee at IBM speaking out against his company and Dansby really didnt say anything wrong. He didnt agree with it but he said management probably had more info than he had. I think some people need to look up the definition of insubordination because this would not qualify as such.

Us fans need to stand behind Philbin 100%. HE is completely correct in getting rid of Chad Johnson and his big mouth. And to Dansby, why don't you just shut your big gaping yap and play football. You want to defend a loudmouth moron like Johnson then you can just go and play for some other team.

I think Dansby as a leader of the lockerroom has to stand up for the players. It's understandable. He was very articulate in the interview, and cautious I might add. He was careful to say "me personally," and not to step on toes of the organization. A concept completely foreign to Johnson.

I believe deep down that while he may be friends with Johnson, he also understand the business.

The interview he gave on Sid's show this morning, and the comments after practice reflect Dansby certaintly understanding the greater dynamic at work. I will applaud him though for defending a fellow player. Perhaps the only guy on the roster who can say that and not be canned.

Are some fans in here really asking "Did Philbin tell Dansby about it" ... with regards to keeping things in house?

A veteran like Dansby needs to be told that?

Time to treat everyone like babies then? That what you want?

Well unfortunately thats not the way the nfl works, its quite media driven and the players deal with the media all the time. So you feel players should not have opinions. Obviously some players looked up to Chad and were praising his work with the team on the field, in fact he was considered a starter by our own staff.

I dont feel we as fans should stand behind Philben 100 percent on everything because we are fans of the team not necessarily the coach. I agree with the decision on a football note but I also never agreed with signing him. Lets also not forget that Philben also had the same loudmouth as his starter up to this point.

Well said I dont get why Danby is getting so much criticism. Whether we liked it or not Johnson was seemingly well respected by teammates and was becoming a leader on this team(leadership in football is always overblown though) so I applaud him for carefully choosing his words and speaking out. He said nothing bad about the organization just what he felt.

Things are changing here, that's why. Players run at the mouth too much in the past. That's over. Philbin and staff are going to change our culture down here, and we need it BADLY.

PROFESSIONALISM. Shut the F up Dansby, and don't tell the media you are angry about what decisions his employer made. That's none of Dansby's business.

Actually since they are in a union it is his business to some great degree and he has every right to speak his mind and he did it quite professionally. Players are not just gonna all of a sudden shut their mouths about everything because the players have the power in the league(well the good players). None of us can really relate to the type of job these players have because the nfl is nothing like any other non sports business. I think too many have a double standard. If a player says things people wanna hear they are praised to high heaven but there was nothing bad about what Dansby said

Exactly dlockz. Dansby didn't say anything any leadership player would've said on any team concerning this situation. There were numerous players saying that they'll support Chad personally and privately, but also understand that friendships go so far, and at the end of the day, they are still concerned about the team. Well chosen words.

There is nothing that Dansvy said that needs over analyzation. He's a fiend of Chad that give. His own personal viewpoint, couldve been given some slack. But I do believe that the overall interpretation of events led to his dismissal.

Normal stuff.

There's nothing different about that than any job I ever had. In my experience if you repeatedly embarrass your
employer, pretty soon you find yourself gone. I thought that was common sense.

I wasnt referring to Chad i was referring to the way people act like players are like any other employee and they should make public statements. I was referring to the comments about what Dansby said
