Darlington: Manning underwhelmed with Dolphins front office

Well gentleman it doesnt take a rocket scientist to realize Ross has no business in the nfl.

First task get rid of these hollywood owners no,one,in football cares about Gloria estefan or marc Anthony.

Second task stop flaunting your bling. No one cares unless you are going to give them a big contract. You are not the only billionare whos willing to make a splash.

Even if Ireland deserves a second chance you dont linger on the subject. If he is your guy stick with him. If you dont feel confident with the guy then by all means know that you can hire/fire anyone at your will! It is your team, act like it!

Do not care about the media stick with your guns and with your team. You are as respected as you give yourself yo respect!

Fix these things and things will start to change. I guarantee it!

Good thing players are more concerned about their commodities than that of the offices. Hence why Philbin and friends are leading the interview. Peyton doesn't need the money, it's about football. The Dolphins are smart in keeping it low key and REAL.. FOOTBALL!

Peyton sees through the full court press organizations make to lure him.

He just wants a place to feel comfortable and continue his success.

don't believe all the tweets. The fact he is making more visits is smart on his part. He doesn't have a time table per se like the teams.

He may sign with us or not, but getting the interview is a good sign.

I say follow CK's twitter and go sign Dallas Clark at 4pm tommorrow. That will wake his ass up. Can u imagine, Philbin sitting there with Peyton and suddenly Peyton gets a text from dad that Miami just agreed to terms with Dallas Clark? While he is staring at them? actions speak louder than words.

I am indiffernt on Manning he could last 1/2 a season - not so worried about Flynn either Philbin likes or doesn't - very worried they might reach at #8 on Tannehill - I am waiting for Philbins call

I agree. Maybe wayne as well. If miami really wants this to happen this should be our plan of execution.

WE need QB that wants to be Dolphin. Get a QB with all the tools and let Philbin develope him. I really believe Peyton is more interested than people think or he wouldn't waste his time talking to us. WORKING THE LEVERAGE. GO FINS. Keep the faith!

I agree and if Peyton actually discussed that with a reporter it would be a no class move before he even met the coach

Archie should be texting peyton while with philbin "miami added wayne, clark also let ireland go and polian is the new GM"

I hate using those examples whether this is accurate or not:

Ryan Clark: mediocre Safety whose flaws were spotlighted when Troy P went down, tweeted that he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh, thought he;'d get Antrel Rolle elite money, was told by Ireland unceremoniously that he'd be paid fairly in line with what he was worth, and got his bowels in an uproar over being made to face reality.

Harbaugh: wife and kids had no intention of moving. Ross was played as leverage and as a courtesy interview by someone who had endowed a wing at their mutual alma matter

Fisher: Said he'd hire Ireland himself (which might actually be an indictment, LOL), but was a mediocre HC with 6 out of 17 winning seasons who demanded the kind of control his accomplishments didn't justify. Ross was used by Fisher, Demoff and his son to wrest control and more benjamins out of an equally naive Kroenke. "Losing out" on Fisher was justified by his first 2 hirings of an awful OC and a DC whom he never bothered to vet or wonder why NO who had won a SB with him was so anxious to offload.

Crowder? He's an azzclown that no other team in need bothered to sign. Sure he got deep sixed and who likes a boss who reveals you for what you are?

Again, Ireland may or may not be deserving of criticism, but using the above examples is strictly bull****!

I agree with you but why do people bring these examples up if they're bull****?

So the minority owners affect business and the product on the field? That's vaguely interesting

i am tired of the media taking shots at the phins, why is the roster soo deep?, maybe the ****ing front office is the reason

What ****ing structure? It's the same structure as any other NFL front office more or less. At least Miami has an owner who wants him unlike the structure that cast him aside in Indy along with his GM.

****ing bull**** answer, **** Manning. I had reservations before but this horse**** seals the deal.

Move on Miami.

If Manning does not choose to play for Miami, you can pretty much guarentee that it is because of Ross and or Ireland. It will have nothing to do with Philbin.

Miami has everything he would need and want in picking a new team. Familiar with the facilities, already has a place there, wife likes it there, got a good defense and great left tackle, a good young rb, etc. If Manning decides to pass all that up, and play elsewhere, its all on Ross and Ireland for being the biggest jokes in the front office.

manning has to realize wherever he goes, he's only going to be there 3 years tops, they are not trying to date him, we want him to play football. The dolphins will b here long after he retires, I betcha there is a lots of things that he doesn't like about his wife but he is still there. I'm over this stuff, go and get Matt Flynn already!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There's no way you could possibly know that...perhaps Manning likes and respects Philbin, but doesn't agree with his plans for the offense. Everyone is so ready to throw Ross and Ireland under the bus...but remember, they got him in a room when most teams couldn't.
