Darlington: Manning underwhelmed with Dolphins front office

Ok I just saw the Darlington piece and it is very obvious that Peyton thinks we have most talent, but he doesn't like our front office! He wants to meet with only Philbin in a footballcentric environment. Seems pretty clear "IF" Peyton likes Philbon and his philosophy, then maybe he will over look Ireland. That is my take!

We need Philbin to blow Manning's socks off if we want any chance of landing him.

That being said, I am not sure how Darlington would hear about his... Must be from Manning's agent because I doubt a Dolphins source would tell him this.

you have manning on your madden and still have colombo at RT?!?!

The structure of the company, as in those running it. Lets face it, these people have a bad track record. You don't do things like the way Sparano had his chain yanked on and have people get "good vibes" about the place as a work place. Add in a bonehead owner and a few interview insults and there you have it. This stuff does matter at some point. Philbin's opinion will be taken with a gain of salt since he is yet to work there so to speak.

id say logically it would make sense to play for someone you dont have strong ties to... if peyton blows u think elway is going to give him a shoulder to cry on? its jus too much pressure to play for friends or acquitances. peyton is going to feel like he owes it to elway to do something...coming to miami would be my logical choice as i probably would feel less pressure to perform and be peyton of old. Peyton can focus on jus winning instead of beng elways choice or the guy that ousts the fan fav tebow. jus signing peyton would be enough for the fanbase in miami and would boost season tix regardless of the outcome. As long as peyton and philbin are on the same page they should be able to achieve the results they want.

So trading for Marshall, signing Dansby and trading for Bush are all bad things? Some of you chose to only see the bad things this front office has done. Think for yourself, you don't have to SWALLOW everything the media shoves down your throat.

This crap that Manning views our front office one way or another is useless junk. The NFL is populated by idiots, just like the real world. I some how think Manning is capable of functioning in that type of environment. Jim Irsay?

Ireland lacks tact and if we hate him so does the league.

How do you know Manning doesn't like ppl like that, because some paid mouthpiece on a network says so?

Nice.

Trading two 2nd rounders for a scumbag loser in Brandon Marshall...a guy who's career game comes in a f*cking Pro Bowl. He's the playmaker that we have trying to attract Manning? I wonder which morons signed off on that move?

Prioritizing Marshall doesn't exactly inspire "confidence" in a front office.

Anyway, f*ck Manning and trying to attract outside resources. Enough is enough, find a young Qb you're willing to risk your job for, trade up and get him. It's the only solution to all this garbage. We need to stop trying to beg for 36 year old Qbs coming off major neck surgeries. Shannahan did it with Cutler and going to do it with Griffin. Too bad we have Jeff Ireland with a pine cone the size of a watermelon up his ass, too afraid to move for fear that he may embarrass his "reputation." F*ck Ireland too.

No just a few on here and Crowder dislike him....get a grip.

Crowder hates him, because Ireland was honest with him, he isn't very good. And does anyone believe Crowder took the year off for his kid, really?

If true, screw everyone. I guess we are going to have to start winning to gain respect.

Took the year of because no one except NE gave him a tryout and even Bill did not want him despite his love for ex Fins.

vaark i'm pretty sure that ryan clark took less money to stay in pittsburgh than he was offered by us so i don't see where that example helps your cause...

And don't forget about getting Matt Moore...a backup better than several starters (including our own).

anyone have the money numbers we paid these guys? ireland has impressed me once, and thats with the reggie bush trade.. because of the talent and what we gave up. other than that those guys would have came here for that money regards who was gming at the time. Ireland does not look like a guy you would even like to talk to much less agree ona contract from him.
