Darlington: Manning underwhelmed with Dolphins front office

Ross and Ireland are complete jokes.

Until a reputable FO is in place, stuff like this will happen.

I love that it's Ireland's fault if Manning doesn't sign, has nothing to do with Manning maybe choosing what's best for him & his family. Not that I think Ireland is the best GM but NOT every FA we want is going to sign with us, most probably have nothing to do with Ireland if they choose to go elsewhere. What about the guys he got funny how that doesn't ever get mentioned like Dansby, Burnett, i believe he had Bush agree to a contract extension for less $ before the trade & had a solid draft last year. Again not saying he is thr greatest GM but he isn't necessarily the reason for every bad thing that goes on.

Jeff Darlington just said on NFL Network that although Peyton really likes the talent on the roster he is very underwhelmed by the "structure in place" so it's going to be a difficult sell. Mike Lombardi said that the Dolphins pretty much have no shot at signing Manning.

what dose he mean the structure as in the way we are going to run the offence ??

This.

Eventually you have to believe Ross will get this. Or at least you have to hope he does. Ireland is not just bad at his job, he gives off the stench of rotten mangoes. Ryan Clark, Jim Harbaugh, Jeff Fisher and now Peyton Manning.

It's having a multiplying effect now.

I hate using those examples whether this is accurate or not:

Ryan Clark: mediocre Safety whose flaws were spotlighted when Troy P went down, tweeted that he wanted to stay in Pittsburgh, thought he;'d get Antrel Rolle elite money, was told by Ireland unceremoniously that he'd be paid fairly in line with what he was worth, and got his bowels in an uproar over being made to face reality.

Harbaugh: wife and kids had no intention of moving. Ross was played as leverage and as a courtesy interview by someone who had endowed a wing at their mutual alma matter

Fisher: Said he'd hire Ireland himself (which might actually be an indictment, LOL), but was a mediocre HC with 6 out of 17 winning seasons who demanded the kind of control his accomplishments didn't justify. Ross was used by Fisher, Demoff and his son to wrest control and more benjamins out of an equally naive Kroenke. "Losing out" on Fisher was justified by his first 2 hirings of an awful OC and a DC whom he never bothered to vet or wonder why NO who had won a SB with him was so anxious to offload.

Crowder? He's an azzclown that no other team in need bothered to sign. Sure he got deep sixed and who likes a boss who reveals you for what you are?

Again, Ireland may or may not be deserving of criticism, but using the above examples is strictly bull****!

I can't find the thank you button, so thank you - good post

Just another damn voice in the Manning mayhem, IMO. I love how these reports like to speak for athletes like they KNOW their true motives. I'm not going to believe crap until I see he has actually officially signed with a team.

Great post. Finally some sanity on these boards.

It's the Jim Harbaugh fiasco, that will haunt us for years to come.

I thought Crowder had retired and didnt want to play last season due to his child being born? Also, I am already hearing reports of teams that may be looking at crowder, possibly as backup or starter.. Crowder will play again as he is average at best. But some guys on here dont even want to give the guy that credit because of their social rejection, they never learned sarcasm and humor.
