David Boston is the real deal

I think Boston's really proved he can play this preseason. He may not be ready to start yet but he'll make some big plays for us this season.

Can you imagine being a 190-200 lb DB having to bring him down in the open field? Or having to try an jam him at the line of scrimmage.

Really?

1) Knees/injury prone (you mentioned that)
2) Takes substances banned by the NFL
3) Assaults senior citizens
4) Has an attitude problem (see: Chargers suspension)

You *can* knock Boston for much more than his knees.

He has apparently changed since the birth of his daughter so let's give him a chance instead of bashing him.

He will be a solid #3 WR IMO. No More, No Less.

Based on what? Your statement implies that he has no room for improvement. How do you know that? He isn't at full strength yet. When fully healthy he is a top 5 WR.
At the start of training camp I seem to recall Boston saying he was around 80%.

Because he has Booker nad Chamber in front of him. I would love to see him catch 90 balls for 1700 yards with 11 tds, but it isint going to happen unless he beats out Booker for the #2 spot which I dont see happening this year.

I am downright eager for him to do something good for this team, so you don't have to tell that to me. I'm not planning to ignore his past when people write inaccuracies like the above, though. Boston has a checkered past. He is welcome to go straight in my book, but I'm not going to pretend that stuff isn't in the past or let anybody else whitewash it.

Do you see me whitewashing any of that? Randy and his wife have a mutual combat problem from what I can glean. For their sakes, I certainly hope they're getting help or will decide to part ways before one of them ends up dead or in prison.

I'm not telling anybody they cannot like David Boston. I am saying that they have to accept the reality that is David Boston and not play things off like he only has an injury problem. That would be like me suggesting that Randy's only problem is dropping passes and getting blown up by blitzing linemen.

My apologies. I thought you meant that he didn't have the talent to be anything more than a #3 receiver in this league.
I think if he makes enough big plays early in the season, he will be starting ahead of Booker.

Is Boston more talented than Booker?? Yes!! Does that mean he will be the #2?? NO...people will continue to bring up dumb sh-t about his past and steriods.. and it doesnt really matter...what matters is how he helps OUR team win games..and he will be a heck of a contributer....If he is the "#3" he will be the best #3 in the NFL.

I know many of you out there like to beat him up, because of his knees, but thats is the only thing you can knock him for. Not only is he big, fast, but he has great hands. So far he has caught every ball thrown to him, and as many drop balls there was last night against Pitt, I believe he had a chance to really shine.

Like other positions on this team, there is a battle for the WR spots and it's pecking order. Boston to me has earned the #2 spot over Booker. But, I only know preseason games. Much of the evaluation is done in practice -- of which I don't see. So, what we see in the games may be moot if Booker is playing lights out in practice.

I'd like to see Boston at the #2 and bring Booker in to play the slot when we use 3 WRs. But, unfortunately I don't have all of the information to make an educated decision on if that's the best thing for the team.

Wasn't Boston Feeley's favorite target last night?

Seems that way to me also, looks like they may have some chemistry.
