David Cornwell’s statement regarding Jonathan Martin

Well this is a man to whatever you are conversation. You have quite a nerve even talking about TOS since your reply had nothing to do with a post just trying to take a backhanded dig without addressing anything.
If you were in my unit no I would not refer any of these comments to you but on a message board I feel quite confident I have broken no federal laws. You deserved every insult you got and then some. You insuted me over and over with your beyond silly claim that I have an agenda or am antiphin

I dont mind debate but Im quite tired of the board letting you and others say whatever you want about other posters in a thread and nothing is done even though its clearly never got nothing to do with the topic. Its very few of the people on the board and you are among the worst offenders. Some people are frauds of the worst kind.

So essentially youre saying you have a problem with how you are being treated and you simply arent going to take it. You are fighting back.

But, when it comes to Jon Martin, your opinion is that he should not have gone that route and instead hired a lawyer and try to drag the entire franchise down. Got it.

Remember, before ANYONE said ANYTHING about Martin's desire to continue playing football, he was leaking to guys like David DeCastro that he wanted to keep playing. Remember, it was MARTIN'S CAMP who first brought this issue up. Why was he so eager to get that out there?

Why does he keep taking actions which make it almost impossible for him to EVER be accepted into any locker room ever again, and yet keeps insisting he wants to keep playing football?

It's going to come out. The Dolphins are going to fire back here. Jon Martin is not what he is trying to portray himself as, and the team can prove it.

Cornwell played a nice card by trying to go positive with the weakness in his case, which is that Martin was friends with Incognito. Regardless of how Cornwell wants to play that, it's still a major problem for him. This is a divisive issue. He may get some weak minded grannies on a jury who think poor itty bitty Jonathan had to deal with some meanies. But, odds are that he will get a more balanced court with some guys who will see Martin's lack of character and see that:

1. The very nature of football is about bullying. Players commit "assault" every day by the letter of the law. They bully their opponent every play.
2. Martin is 6'5 310 and saying he was bullied trivializes people who are actually bullied and helpless.
3. Martin himslef engaged in hazing. The lunchroom prank, he also did. The Samuda car story, etc.
4. Martin got in fights in practice (bullying). Incognito helped him.
5. Martin's credibilidty and sincerity are in question. He kept tapes for months building a case. He disingenuously cut off the end of the tape about Incognito saying "call me back"
6. Martin played the tape in the locker room and laughed.
7. Teammates say that Incognito treated Martin like a little brother.
8. Martin never told Philbin or management about alleged abuse. The Ireland call with Rick Smith came after Martin left.
9. Miami took a chance on Martin and drafted him. He thanks his employer by going nuclear. Juries will see that as a lack of character for an employee. This did not have to be handled by pressing the red button. People with character don't respect that.
10. Overall, he was friends with Incognito.

This is a roll of the dice for Martin. He could get a favorable outcome. Or, there may be some people in Court who just are not going to see it Martin's way. They are going to see a kid without character looking for a pay day.

Im not Jon martin. I have never been bullied. Obviouly he has issues. I would already be an outcast because I would have neve had allowed them to give me some dumb azz haircut. I woudnt pay for thier damn dinner or carried thier shoulder pads.
I also would not be hanging with a drunken idiot like Ritchie InCognito. .would bust my azz and play my azz off. i cant put myself in his shoes because maybe he is a withdrawn person. Even in the video you can see he is not a wild person like some of the other players.
I also would not engage in people calling other people the n word even in a joking manner because I realize its not joke word.
What you fail to realize is that not all people are the same. Martin obviously has an issue and at some point the investigator will see if there is really something there. I dont know and you dont know.
Like I said he could be gay we are dealing wiith a bunch of unknowns but yet people take sides. I think something happened but have no clue. Im not sure its as bad as hazing but I do think he did not like some of the racial stuff which is his right. I think he has a personality disoder which makes it difficult to deal with such issues. This is just what I think.

We dont work together and I really didnt slur him. I was talking about his new found man crush on Jeff Ireland this past offseason. The same guy he had blasted a few years ago. I dont think WV is gay I dont care if he is, Im fine with it.
People use mancrush all the time so is that a violation. Im trying to figure out why its ok to say Im not a dolphin fan and I should be banned because I have a difference of opinion esp when that had nothing to do with the post

It's just a stall tactic to create the necessary negative PR against the team that would pressure it to continue to pay him while he sits out.

Now it's not just "Incognito," for whom evidence against Martin's narrative has mounted, but "the team in general," which serves to undermine the team response (i.e., Hartline, Tannehill, et al.) we've been hearing here lately, while making "the Dolphins at large" the more general perpetrator.

The whole thing is a trial in the court of public opinion, rather than a real investigation or trial in which the truth is actually sought through a deductive or adversarial process.

The truth will be known soon enough, however.

Saying a man has a boyfriend is a slight unless he swings that way and is taken In a context of homosexuality. And attacking a poster on a message board nowadays still gets people in trouble it's been in the news a few times. But with all that said I personally don't think you should be banned you seem like a good guy, You were baited but like I said you shouldn't stoop to their level.
