If healthy I think he has a good chance, I would be surprised if he didn't actually, because that means Moore is actually better than I thought.

The problem here is that people believe he is here to branch to the young qb we take in the draft. Only problem is we will not draft a quarterback in this draft unless it is in the 4-6 round area. Ireland simply does not value you the quarterback position and that philosophy will not change.

Id be surprised if we reeached for tannehill at 8...with the addition of gerrad and having moore on the roster qb is not really a need serious need to address this year...or even next year depending on the play this year...we probably have a worst need at qb and tight end and guard..id say we definately go wr first... floyd or blackmon at 8 is not a reach..tannehill is a huge reach unless we trade down.
 
Garrard was a nice pickup by the Phins. He can compete for the starting spot and if he doesn't play better than Moore he will be a nice backup QB. How many teams have former Pro-bowl QB's as backups? Not many. If Moore continues to improve then we will be in awesome shape. If he takes a nosedive and doesn't play well, or if Moore gets hurt, Garrard will do nicely. Finally, they can STILL draft a potential long term QB and have time to develop them with two starters and one pro-bowler teaching him. I like Weeden as i think he could come in and compete for starter or backup spot as well. I LOVE the fact that Miami didn't pay crazy money to sign Manning or Flynn and now are able to concentrate on making the rest of the team stronger. Nice job Ireland.
 
If Ireland takes a QB that doesn't pan out ... his hot seat will get red hot. We'll see if he has balls, or takes the safe route & gets a solid starter to quiet the mob.

However, a QB that pans out, will shut us all up!! lol
 
I think Garrard is a solid quarter back. He never had weapons in Jax except Jones Drew. We clearly dont have weapons but of we go offensive heavy in the draft then I'm positive he can do some damage. Everyone on here is just gonna hate Garrard because we missed out on Manning, Flynn, and Smith. I personally like the garrard signing but of course i would of took the other three but Garrard is not bad at all
