Plunkett - for you NFL fan youngsters - was a QB for New England and then the Niners in the 70's....and made his name as a Raider in the twilight of his career.

A great defense. Lester Hayes and Mike Haynes were GREAT book end corners. Marcus Allen was there great half back.

And Plunkett was the last piece of their puzzle who played great for them and won superbowls in his late 30's.

Garrard has all of the ingredients to help the Dolphins rise to greatness.

A seasoned veteran that knows game management and how to utilize the tools around him....

OK hopefully I'm right!

We'll see how Garrard's health holds up as we get on in the offseason and TC.  If he's 100% healthy, he could do quite well for us, a la Pennington 2008.  He at least brings that veteran leadership and passion for the game.  If he's got lingering back issues, then he's not likely to do very well and we'd be better off with Moore.

I really do hope either Moore or Garrard step it up and play well.  I'd like the 2012 season to have some hope of playoffs, especially given the easier schedule, rather than being a throw-away year where all we have to look forward to is Tannehill's first starts.

More likely: David Garrard is the next...

My prediction is that Garrard doesn't make the final 53. I think Moore will get the starting job and Miami will ship Garrard out of town for a mid to late round pick. Probably a 5th.

Good lord. Our QB situation has been such a disaster for so long it's turning some fans delusional.

Not sure about the Plunkett comparison, but out of the three QBs Garrard gives Miami the best chance to make a playoff run imo.

I´m just excited cause now, we´re gonna spend the next 3 months tied for the lead in the AFC East, WOOOO!! or, tied for last place, damn!! Back to MW3....
