Davis Mills anyone?

I watched Mills play at Stanford and more recently the 2022 season for the Texans. Mills is an accurate, pure passer with good touch. He does not make too many mental mistakes with the football.
The negative to Mills play is that he is a pocket passer who needs protection and will not on his own extend many plays. My guess is that an NFL team could sign him to a 2-year deal for about $4 million per year, and that kind of deal could allow the Dolphins to have respectable QB play for a relatively low financial cost. In the meantime the Dolphins could use the next couple of drafts to pick QB's in the hopes of developing one.

I like Fields too, but since he is still on his rookie contract the Bears probably want to keep him for at least the 2024 season. My guess is that another team would have to trade a 1st round pick, a 2nd and 3rd round pick, or maybe a couple of starting players to acquire Fields. And all that knowing if Fields plays well next season he will expect a team to sign him to a long term high dollar contract.
