The Dolphins have a problem at the QB position and I am just trying to help find a solution. Maybe Mr. Ross or Grier or McDaniel will read this thread and contact the Texans? It's possible.
Tua is already signed for the 2024 season. The Mill-idea is for a capable back-up ready to take over for Tua either during the 2024 season or for the 2025 season. The point is Mills is good and could probably be acquired for relatively little money, so the Dolphins should do it. Also, Miami can draft a QB and develop him along with Mills.Lol. Tua leads the league in yards and damn near every other category. What's the result...get Davis Mills? Did not have that on my bingo card.
Why not just trade Tua for Mills?Tua is already signed for the 2024 season. The Mill-idea is for a capable back-up ready to take over for Tua either during the 2024 season or for the 2025 season. Davis Mills will never be a starter in the NFL capable of leading the league in yards so I would throw the "take over for Tua" idea right out the window. Backup, sure. He's serviceable. Draft a QB? Nah, we have Skyler. He has 2 years in the system and knows it cold. That's what you need in an emergency QB. I'd rather use that pick on a lottery ticket at another important positionTua is already signed for the 2024 season. I believe Tua is owed $27 million for the 2024 season. If this is true then the Dolphins are stuck with him, because I can't imagine another team would have an interest in paying him that much money. Why not just trade Tua for Mills?
The problem runs deeper than just the quarterback, a rash of injuries towards the end of the season didn't help either. The Dolphins have a problem at the QB position and I am just trying to help find a solution.
