Day One Practice Notes per Sun-Sentinal...

Multiple times I've seen Volin say weak. But his interception which he would have returned for a touchdown was under-cutting a pass toward Anthony Fasano. Who knows.

i'm intrigued by kelcie mccray...with clemons on the lamb yet again i wonder if he could be next man up at safety or if jimmy wilson will get the nod

seeing omar in all cap say lamar miller looks GOOD is pretty damn promising also...i just hope he can take the pounding running on the inside...a shoulder is nothing to blow off...i heard he had some knee issues also

I just remind myself it is day one of week one. Give two weeks or so and then I start to get a cubby!

Never heard about the knee. I'd hate to see a promising back get derailed by injury issues. But there's a reason that position has such a short shelf life.

I would think Jimmy Wilson is next up at safety after Chris Clemons.

Exciting yes, but let's hope it translates when they put pads on. Same with all the Pruitt love...

sucks that tannys missing all that install from today...just sucks...hurry up ireland

Never heard about any knee issues with Miller. He's had a lot of shoulder issues all the way back to his Killian High School days.

i saw something either just prior or just after the draft that said he was medically red flagged by some teams for shoulder and knee concerns

Trying not to overreact too much to Day 1 of camp, but reading everything about Lamar Miller has me very optimistic. Could be a steal.

I feel that it was actually BAD that MIAMI got B MARSHALL. He would hog all the "reps" in practice, and all the "targets" in the game...or sulk and make a nusiance of himself if he didn't get same. He throws his own QB (MOORE) under the bus, even though MOORE made him, and even BESS (45 Yard "fly" TD over tight coverage), look like a legit deep threat. This year, i/m/o, we'll FINALLY get a good look at 4 "home grown" WRs, and learn for sure whether they've got NFL ability or not: GATES, MOORE, PRUITT, and WALLACE. And as to our rookie WRs, we'll learn likewise. And HARTLINE and BESS will actually get to show what they can do. As far as I'm concerned, thank GOD MRASHALL's gone. He had talent alright: but he cost us too much--and I don't mean the 2 2nd's or his salary, either.

We'll even get a good look at BOTH of our new TEs. I especially hope that L BROWN surprises people. If he does, he'll make the team, rather than the P/S, i/m/o. Because if he shows something, w/HIS measureables, he'd get poached from our P/S in that proverbial "New York minute"--probably by N.E..

Time will tell. But here's hoping!!! And I have NO regard at all for the opinions of the so-called "experts".

Agree with your totally on Marshall. I think we need to be realistic with our rookies, it is much more likely that 2nd and 3rd year players break out so the Pruitts, Wallaces and so on of this world really need to step up. If they don't they will get cut because Philbin has no special attachment to them.
