apparently it is ok to blame Jeff for both Carey and Marshall ( both of whom are nearly 10 mil of our dead cap money) in the same way it's ok to.blame tan shill for his wide receivers dropping passes and his defense giving up 40+ points a game .
 
i didn't blame jeff ireland for the marshall dead money...the marshall one makes more sense to me than carey though or bell for that matter cause even when we signed them both bell was older and carey was having weight issues etc...i was glad we signed them both...but i think whoever did the money on those contracts and didn't front load them was pretty foolish...i keep hearing we couldn't make it happen and i dispute that...we signed bell and carey both during the nfl combine prior to free agency we could have put more money into the early years of those contracts and not been paying for them now...i'm sure many think i'm looking at this in a hindsight matter but i'm not...it's the way i look at things...front load especially older or guys you think could have issues down the line whenever possible

it's also why i said front load the contract on matt flynn had we brought him on...you don't want to have a bunch of dead money in a qb 2 years down the road that isn't helping you...protect yourself in case of failure
