Dead Serious: What options do we have next year (At QB)?

Rodgers still has it. He's past his prime but he's also playing with below average receivers.

I agree. Rodgers can still hit good receivers without even thinking about it. If he had Hill/Waddle with GB they'd be unbeaten.
 
The only options we have is to bring in a guy for a year out of free agency that can compete with Tua. We can’t afford to get up high enough to draft one and we don’t have the ammo to pull a trade.

Rumors are that Josh McDaniels wants to get rid of Derek Carr. I doubt we’d be willing to give what it would take bc at minimum it would take our 2nd rounder. I also don’t think MM will let us bring in any kind of guy that could legit challenge Tua bc MMs ego won’t allow it.

Other than something like that… we are literally stuck with Tua for at least next year. When we traded that 1st for Chubb that signaled we were all in on Tua. They got fooled like most here and around the league early in the year. Tua fooled almost all of us bc of how he looked when the weather and schedule was soft. As soon as we started facing legit opponents he’s cratered.

Tua is the QB that will beat teams he is supposed to but lose to the teams we’re supposed to and that’s the definition of mediocrity which is what we’ve been for pretty much all of my life. (I’m 33)

Ugh this sucks. Rodgers :) Go get him

To me, Carr is basically Tua - not in talent. Carr is far more talented (arm, mobility, less accurate though)...but in overall results, they're the same guy

Derek Carr sucks

Rodgers, I'm not sure if you guys have been watching, but he is not making throws like he used to. Perhaps his broken thumb is a big problem and he just isn't stating that. But, he has not been good and he is the biggest reason the Packers have sucked this year.

Brady - Similar to Rodgers. He is finally starting to lose it. I would take him for next year if we could get him. I suspect he might go to San Fran.

I don't know who else would even be available. What is Minshew's contract like? He isn't great, but he would be an upgrade. Jimmy G? Baker Mayfield sucks before anyone mentions him.

We really don't need a really good QB with this offense. We just need a decent QB. Hill and Waddle can make a lot of guys look good.

He’s also been stuck in LV his whole career and we know how screwed up the Raiders are. Derek Carr is much better than Tua. This is a 12/13 win team with Derek Carr at QB.

You don't have to worry about the whole season, I'm sure Tua will miss some games lol

Can anyone name any last drive must have drives by Tua in three years that led us to a win at the end? There has to be some. But I can’t think of a single one in this moment.
