Dead Serious: What options do we have next year (At QB)?

Due to no cap space and lack of draft picks, there is really no way to upgrade over Tua this year without completely blowing the team up

No need to wait. I'll be very excited. You guys jump ship every time any QB doesn't play a pro bowl game. He choked, it happens. I could point to several games this season where he didn't. Are those erased bc he threw 2 bad throws?(one was just a total miscommunication)

You guys just lack perspective. He was having a very efficient game up to then. We aren't ready, it's that simple. You trying to convince me that we aren't showing something we haven't seen in 2 decades this season? I don't buy that. First year head coach is changing things.

I'll be excited too. I'm all in on Tua. Will be on pin & needles until December 2023 when the playoff picture starts taking shape, no matter how much early season success the Fins and Tua has.

This season's end result may very well turn out to be ****, but I'm not going to ignore all the positive changes this year. Obviously this thread does.

I'm also not going to try to prove you doubters wrong because actual results can only do that. I am taking receipts though. Whether they're posted this season or next is the only variable.

The thought of watching Tua FOR AN ENTIRE SEASON next year makes me sick. He's an amazing backup and a hell of a guy and I wish him the best but he has no confidence in himself and he just melted down. He can't win when it matters. He's a poor-man's Kirk Cousins and I'd take Cousins 100 times before I'd take Tua.

What are our options next year? Please walk me off the ledge

Derek Carr? - Is he really an upgrade?
Aaron Rodgers? - I'd give my left nut for a beyond-his-prime Rodgers
Tom Brady? - See above
Jimmy G? - Say what you want, but I'd take him over Tua
Lamar Jackson? - Not a chance Ravens let him walk and we dont have the $$ but it'd be nice to dream
I’ll take any of them. Tua is Mr noodles

Why aren’t we ready though? The line has been decent. Our WRs are literally the best in the league. The running game is serviceable. There’s no reason we shouldn’t be ready.

That's a pretty good question.

I've heard teams in the NFL have to learn to win. Not sure what that means though. For example, the Bengals have seemed to catch on pretty quick. Although Zac Taylor wouldn't have made it out of his second season with this Finheaven crowd.

We’re on the same page.

I would give your left nut for Rodgers too. I would even throw in the right one.

I fear that we will be with Tua for two more years. Then it will be draft. In 2025 season we'll get to see the next version of the Fins.

Oh well, one win and help, or two wins and in. We find out if we have a QB with true desire in the next two weeks.

Not to pile on cause of the loss but they also ignored his injuries in college. 3 years in and all 3 years he’s been injured at some point. Fluke or not, it’s something that will loom when it comes to an extension imo
Injuries had NOTHING to do with the **** play today.

A vet backup QB would be hard pressed to throw 3 INTS on final 3 drives against an NFL team playing away from home and is nowhere good enough to be in the playoffs.

I’ve seen this movie before

Is McDaniel tied to Tua now? Is he going to live and die with him?
