Dead Serious: What options do we have next year (At QB)?

The thought of watching Tua FOR AN ENTIRE SEASON next year makes me sick. He's an amazing backup and a hell of a guy and I wish him the best but he has no confidence in himself and he just melted down. He can't win when it matters. He's a poor-man's Kirk Cousins and I'd take Cousins 100 times before I'd take Tua.

What are our options next year? Please walk me off the ledge

Derek Carr? - Is he really an upgrade?
Aaron Rodgers? - I'd give my left nut for a beyond-his-prime Rodgers
Tom Brady? - See above
Jimmy G? - Say what you want, but I'd take him over Tua
Lamar Jackson? - Not a chance Ravens let him walk and we dont have the $$ but it'd be nice to dream
Dead serious- none- Tua will be our QB next season

I doubt Tua retires. I expect that he could take his game to another level in year two in the same system.

But, Miami should probably draft a developmental quarterback. Tua's injury history is something to consider. Thoughts on Max Duggan as a late rounder?

None of the qb options that you listed are better than Tua right now. I suggest that you take a deep breath and actually watch games. Don’t just watch the box score. You’re post make some think that you don’t follow the games closely.

I like Duggan he's tough as nails he wants the ball in his hands in big moments.

I think he’ll be option number one also, but the question is for how long?

How many games will he play next year?
Drew Lock will be a free agent I bring him in as insurance with Tua injury's.Lock has potential to be a guy that can make all the throws and scramble. He doesn't have much of injury history he be cheap he's played in games. He be are back up you never no what talent a player has to he's in your camp.

Tua will probably be back next yr but we still need plan b.. either look for QB w first Rd talent that dropping in draft to 3rd round or find good veterans back up... Who can win games while Tua is hurt.

Just go root for another team? Seems the easiest route.
