Deadspin: Miami Dolphins preview- Why your team sucks

These are all hilarious and the one yesterday on the Jets was absolutely hysterical.

BTW I wrote this one in :

Will:

In 2004 when the Dolphins went 4-12 and the Pats went like 119-1 or whatever and won the Super Bowl, the Fins beat the Pats on a last second touchdown from AJ Feeley to Derrius Thompson... I was about 17 years old, and it was such a great win, and I hated the Patriots so much at that time that I was screaming and almost crying like a little girl... It was a Monday or Sunday Night Game.

My dad was and is a big Dolphins fan and he came into my room, flipped a ****, and nearly kicked the **** out of me.

"BOY! I HAVE WORK IN THE MORNING! THIS TEAM SUCKS! WHAT THE HELL IS YOUR PROBLEM?!"

I didn't care because I was still a hopeless romantic asshole filled with actual feelings at the time, but Jesus Christ. My jaded, asshole dad sure was right.

I was hammered when I wrote it so I forget to say this, but it's so sad for me as a 27 year old Dolphins fan that my two happiest football memories are one from a 4-12 season, and one from another football team lol. (The Giants beating the Pats in '07) Hopefully Tannehill and co. bring me some more this year and beyond!

What did happen to fireman Ed, I mean the guy annoyed the piss outta me as hardcore fans of any rival can do, but seriously did he leave cause of the psl's in the new stadium? What the **** are the jets saying to a fan to get him back to the stadium....um free tickets should end the debate no? Unless there was something I missed

Whatevs.........every team has had a down era.....Dallas sucked in the later eighties....and is a .500 team in the last decade +..........the steelers made the playoffs once in a 9 year period between 84' and 92'...the niners missed the playoffs 10 out of 12 years and 8 straight leading up to 2010.

Somehow Miami's current slide from consistency warrants more garbage being dumped on it than others I guess....but I suspect it will disappear as we start winning again.

Is it bad I agree?

I got to admit, the bit about calling the Dolphins the Knicks of the NFL, was harsh and sadly accurate.

I thought the same thing, as far as championships and conference titles go yes. But the Dolphins have had much more success being competitive in that time frame. I've been out of the loop in the NBA the last 5 years but the all time greats I remember from the Knicks in the same era are Ewing and Bernard King (Earl Monroe but I don't have much recollection of him).

There are no words that can express how badly I want this team to shove it down everyone's throat.

Go Fins.

"The NFL should merge these two teams and call them the Florida Jagolphs"....

"They had near-perfect personnel to run the 3-4. So, of course, Coach Voldemort brings in Kevin Coyle to run the 4-3, and within a year they're ****ing Wake Forest"

LMAO. **** is gold.

One of the greatest games EVER!

To stop Belicheat and Brady from football immortality: Priceless!

As a long-suffering Miami Dolphins fan, that game will never be forgotten. And Eli Manning will forever have a pass in my mind, no matter how many down seasons he has, lol.

The maintaining a legacy part...had me dying of laughter!

All of it was TRUTH but you have to be able to laugh at yourself. I will say this while he banged us hard he kinda of begrudgingly lets it out there is real progress happening and he puts in more there is a dim spark happening kinda of way but we all know there is a light at the end here. Except the Miami going under water thing, Tannehill may lead us to the promise land but I doubt he could do anything about global warming, unless he can build an ark

Fireman E.D. quit in the middle of a game. He left while the cheatriots were beating the living crap out of the jets, it was a 30 point blowout. He left at halftime and deleted his account. I think he said something about still being a fan but he was not going to be the fireman Ed mascot anymore. That's a great fan right there...quits because his team is getting beat by too much. Firemen are heroes and in real life what he does or did is awesome. But as a fan I consider him a failure. But I guess it fits perfectly with the jets.
