Debate for the best CB tandem

I don't think we have he best as of now...but I will say we have the best YOUNG cbs hands down!

PLEASE, PLEASE stop. There is no comparison at this time. You cannot evaluate players based on preseason play.

I'm begging you guys, Davis is Revis, Henne is playing like Brady,... it has to stop!

Davis>Revis, Henne> Gaychez

Right now, Smith/Davis are a very good tandem, are they the best? Maybe, maybe not, but they will get more then enough chances to prove themselves this season, right now they should just consider themelves among the best, and work this year to elevate that to the best.

As far as comparison between the Jets and Dolphins. The Jets have a very good pair, with arguably the best Corner in the NFL, but the great american baby making machine on the other side is very inconsistant.

In a comparison Davis is getting very close to Revis level, but Revis is still better.

Smith may have a big problems holding on INTs, but something to think about, why is he always in position to maybe get that INTs? Smith has great instincts, is great in coverage, and the moment he starts catching balls better, he will be considered elite. Cromartie on the other hand is at best inconsistant, and you can throw to his side far with more success then you will throwing to Smith....there is a good reason why the Jets wanted to upgrade the CB position.

Brady Henne is ridiculous. we had all last season to compare Davis and Smith to others.

Davis is nowhere near revis level and when we were looking to upgrade it was to get the 2nd best corner in the game and create the best tandem in history.

So Smith's standing is based on a 2009 pre season Interception?

I would actually put his coverage skills, and instincts up against most Corners, and be very sure to be happy with the results....his ability to hold on to INTs does have a lot to be desired, and he is not the most physical Corner ever, but all and all, his job discription is to make sure the man he covers does not catch passes on him, and in that respect, he is pretty high on the list of corners.

So let me get this straight. You come on a Dolphins forum, and literally beg us to stop talking up our players? Get the f*ck outta here bro. Revis cant do it by himself and Cro is A.S.S

Davis is getting close, if you want to keep the green colored glasses on, and rip off the rear view mirrors so as not to see Davis coming on fast, then that is up to you, but he is close to as good covering #1 Receivers as your man, is a more vicious hitter then Revis, and is as good or better in run support.

Revis is the game-changer... so despite the fact that Vontae is superior to Cromartie, still gotta give the jest the edge since Cromartie may be over rated but he's not a Jason Allen either. If Smith can intercept this season, he'll be at least on par with Cromartie. Before junk comes back in to defend the deadbeat dad's honor, i'll pose the question: "How many teams would trade Cromartie for Vontae?" (hint: rhymes with "wall" ).
