December swoon?

I guess I wouldn't call December of 2003 a swoon. The two losses were to the Super Bowl champion and the NFC runner-up, and the Dolphins won their last two games of the season (as well as 5 of their last 7 after starting 5-4).

You don't count the 2 losses b/c they were against good teams but you count the W's when they came against 2 6-10 teams and after you were already eliminated from playoff contention?

The reason we have started off hot and then hit a wall in December is because the DEFENSE was tired. Since JJ was here and through the Wanny years, this team relied too heavily on the defense. The defense would eventually get worn down. The offense was always the same: Boring and predictable. I think those days are over. The offense and defense will compliment eachother. The days of over reliance on the defense are over. We will stay fresher through the season.

Good analysis. That "defense wins championships" stuff as an excuse to neglect the offense was a load of crap.
