With all the talk about offenses, the passing records that have fallen and trying to match these offensive juggernaunts, it's interesting that three of the remaining teams in the postseason won primarily on defense. Only New England remains as one of the top offensive teams in the super bowl derby. So what does that say? Well, it would be silly with all the rules changes in the passing game not to take advantage of that and look to be an explosive offense. But maybe the fastest road to the super bowl is still on defense. That, by the way, is good news for the Dolphins. Miami has a defense that is good, but not great. Add a pass rusher and another top corner and the Dolphins might be a top five unit capable of limiting the best quarterbacks like Tom Brady. From a coaching standpoint, maybe a defensive guy is the right call.
