Giants won the 2011 super bowl with the 29th ranked defense. Just sayin. Ravens defense in 2012 was ranked 16th (middle of the pack)

Its about matchups. Sure having a great defense is great and having a tough defense is desirable.
Sometimes the offense dominates, sometimes the defense dominates.
In this era of pro passing rules which makes Dan Marino wish he was born again, You must be able to move the ball through the air to give yourself the best chance to win.
Can defense win championships...yes, so can offense.
Seattle's defense dominating this one game is not a rule or blueprint.
The ultimate goal to be considered an all-time great team, which Seattle is not IMO, is to be number 1 in both offense and defense, like the great Dolphin teams.
