Denver has decided per Schefter: Will NOT trade Orton

Good, lets use that money to get a legit #2 receiver. I still believe that Henne can be the qb. At least now we will know if Henne sucks or it was Hennings offense.

In totally unrelated news:

Who is going to be our new head coach next season?

From what I have heard, Tebow is sucking eggs...

So guessing Tebow goes on the block? Or will they hold him?

I don't think they could trade him this early...some of their fanbase would go nuts. However, I am starting to think his value will NEVER be any higher than right now...

That's all she wrote! Pack it up! Nothing to see here! 7-9, get yourrrr 7-9 here!

7-9 thats wishful thinking. More like 13 points is what this offense will avg. Horray for Dan the Man Carpenter.

Translation : Jesus realizes he made a mistake, Tebow is not the chosen one.

Anyone else notice that when Orton was on the trading block, before practices began, how Sportscenter never refered to Tebow as a "potential starting quarterback".

It was always went something like "and the Bronco players realize, that Tebow might be the chosen one" instead of "one chosen".

The Broncos are not going to trade Kyle Orton and he will be their starting quarterback, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

This still is not a 100% declaration on Denvers Part, this is still yet another opinion but based on common sense, Orton is outplaying Tebow in practice, this is nothing new to Denver Fan's who bear witness to this every year. It is the consensus in Denver that Orton is a non-contact QB but when put in game situations is only good within 20 yards and terrible in the Red Zone, with Tebow they (some coaches/fans) feel offers them a better upside with intangibles that can win games...with Orton that is where they have the problem because it seems like his MO is set in stone with no room for improvement. I could care either way if we do/don't get Orton, good option/better than Henne but he was never "My" man I wanted to see us go after, I always wanted Palmer whom I believe just might be the one to make this team explode on offense this year. I just don't know if it's possible to get him out of Cincy or even if the Fins want to take a sniff. Point is...a finale decision on Orton cannot be made until after he's played at least 1 game in preseason but no more than 2, if he's still there for game 3 he's their man period.

Maybe people are tired of all this hand me downs at QB and want the front office to get serious about the QB spot. People are tired of Fiedler, Frerotte, CPep, Feeley, Trent Green, Pennington, Thigpen and all these other guys. Some of those guys weren't even that terrible but none of them were good enough. You make it seem as if Henne can't function . . . the guy was 7-6 2 years ago with a piss poor defense, hell he was a reason our record was decent in 2009 . . . it wasn't Pennington and it sure wasn't this defense . . . stop acting like Orton is this huge upgrade and Henne can't manage a game, because that is the real nonsense I am getting from these Henne haters.

Chanting Orton and willing to give up a 2nd/Starks and 9 or 10 million a year . . . have people lost their minds.

I agree with you the problem was not signing those stop gaps the problem was not drafting a Qb to sit behind the Veteran and learn.I would draft a QB every year till I found one.The game plan from past regimes and it started with Wanstash. We want to run the ball and win with defense so the Qb position is not that important. The game has evolved into a passing game and none of the coaching staffs so far have embraced the new Nfl.

unfortunately, i'd much rather go 1-15 with henne than 8-8 with orton (and i don't believe the swing between the two is anywhere near that large). if getting orton somehow meant playoffs, and sticking with henne meant no playoffs, i might have to reconsider. on the bright side, it might be the matt moore or pat devlin show this year, with a highly drafted prospect arriving in the next draft.
