Denver's zone blocking scheme!

No, actually I am making it up on paper....:goof: :goof:

Give me a few. I bet I can find an article. I do remember watching an ESPN special where someone was talking about it.....

Actually to azfinfanmang's credit, I remember the segment on ESPN as well. It was some low level DT, so it didn't get that much attention, but there have ben a plethora of injuries due to the donkey's technique.

I don't know about career-ending, it certainly wouldn't surprise me.

But you could make a list of half a dozen to a dozen players that have had their seasons ended because of Denver's o-line tactics.

They are not as bad as they once were. The league has pulled them in somewhat. They do the same things, just not as visciously. I'd bet some of them had difficulty coming back. I'd have to look it up.

In any event, Disgustipate nailed it.

Okay, maybe not a career ending but read this.....

Right my reply was to your accusation of career ending injuries. Unfortunatley, Williams suffered a season ending injury. But until the league says its illegal...its legal. Other teams don't do it b/c they will get overpowered in the pass protect scheme. But all teams chop-block, some more than others.

The 49ers started the tiny OL-men theme, Shananhan learned it while coaching for the 49ers. Another thing those tiny OL-men can survive playing in altitude ahelluva lot better then some 300 lbs can.

It's a matter of using "all aspects" of "homefield" advantage.
