DeSean Jackson (WR) was just cut...

smoke....fire. I'd love to have em but there are deep receiver options in this draft as well...

The fact that 2 anonymous Eagles came out and ripped him for being a worthless turd of a teammate pretty much says it all, IMO.

I'm telling you anyone with half a brain knows what the real problem was. They knew about the supposed "gang-affiliation" since 2008 so why would it be a problem 5 years later with no new pending incidents since they've stated wanting him back and with him coming off his best season? The problem is Chip Kelly is trying to take over the team and Jackson impedes him taking full control (he's the highest paid and most outspoken player on the team). If he can't control Jackson, he can't get full buy-in from the entire team. In this deep draft, he figures he'll just draft a WR. Why deal with Jackson possibly undermining his plans for the next few years.

We're talking about Jackson being involved in gangs instead of the important football fact: The Eagles, who depend on spacing with is produced mainly by Jackson, just lost arguably their most important asset and got NOTHING in return. Managers do this type of thing all the time in every industry and NFL coaches, especially ones who've spent a majority of their careers at the collegiate level, are used to full-control over the program and making it clear who is in control.

Lot's of teams still have interest, with KC and the Jets being the followed by Oakland, Pats, Carolina, Seattle, and maybe SF. As per Clayton today.

And this right here is why people are laughng and also shaking their head at the hypocrisy. Cooper was the biggest distraction the entire first half of the football season and he definitely was easy to replace.

Kelly just wanted Jackson gone and needed a good reason to validate it after he messed up negotations by showing his hand to everyone. No one is going to give up a valuable draft pick to save an obvious implosion. Teams know they can just wait and get him on the open market and not give up anything. Kelly is just coming off his first year and made a mistake. Any smart + seasoned coach would have handled this differently and dumped "his problem" off on someone else...especially when the player was just coming off his best statistical season.

As far as I can tell, nobody is saying that the contract didn't play a big role. Comparing the Cooper situation to Jackson's is apples and oranges.

Source tells me any Bills interest in DeSean Jackson would be for a predetermined price. Bills won't get into a bidding war.

Well if it's about his contract then make it about his contract don't destroy his reputation in the process to ensure no one signs him, you do not ruin a person's character to save some money. As for Riley Cooper you are right because his behavior was caught on camera but it was a distraction for the team.

Also have seen where Buff is rumored to be looking to trade up to #1 in the draft, with Houston shopping the pick.

Shouldn't have to worry about the Dolphins missing out on Jackson because of false speculation on his character, considering Lazor will have all the inside dope we need. If we don't go after him, I have to imagine there are reasons - either personal or monetary.

Having said that, I would love to see how our offense would look with Jackson + Wallace. The rebirth of Duper + Clayton.

Hopefully they are ready to make a late move on him once he starts to settle on some contract numbers.

Well now that you mention it, notice how we're not among the teams being speculated as having interest. Considering Lazor is here, that says something.

Don't know source so take it as you will
