Did Dennis Hickey nail this draft?

Finomenal, Spesh, you are entitled to your opinions but if you say that we're two steps behind all other 31 teams in the league just because history says it is so and you try to back it up with some media articles praising players who have not played a single down in the NFL yet (by the way similar articles exist for Dolphins rookies as well but you somehow choose to ignore them), then I will not share your opinions because in my opinion your reasoning is total bull****. History also suggests that the Bills will lose in the Super Bowl, yet somehow they still to reach that game every year.

My point is: let it play out and see what happens. We're only one game into the PRE season and we're already drawing conclusions? Come on...

Sure, our opinion is bs.

I remember many raving about 2007 draft: producing a starting wr, a future starting qb, a starting FB, a starting center, a rb that was too fast to be covered and a future stud late round lineman.
Four starters from that draft that season plus our current punter.

Ireland has had a handful of good picks out of 6 years worth of drafts. Hickey has one draft and we are already discussing this draft as being one of the best in a decade. I dont recall ever having this much positivity for any of Irelands draft classes this early in a season.

lets compare starting points shall we? hickey didn't have huge holes to fill. Ireland has never had first round bust.better than jimmy Johnson can say.

hickey didn't need to draft a qb either. if RT shines as some like myself envision, then Ireland scored again. sorry,i know it bothers you.

Difference is as soon as those rooks got to camp it was "oh his speed will pay off BUT he needs to learn x y and z." "Henne's got an arm but..." They didn't start performing the second they hit the field.
