Terrible thread. henne can't lead a team to the playoffs. no way no how

I knew there'd be a Chad Henne thread soon enough. 
Not surprised at who started it. Listen, he's beaten some of the worst teams in the league and those teams hardly have QBs themselves:
Houston twice (2-11)...Schaub? Keenum?
Cleveland (4-8)...Campbell? Weeden?
Tennessee (5-7)...Fitzpatrick.
That's hardly a ringing endorsement by any means.

LD - look how the Eagles started out, and how they are finishing with Foles.
In our last 9 games, we've gone 3-6, yes we got robbed against the Panters and the Patriots, so we should be sitting at 5-4 out of last 9 games, and 8-4 for the entire season. But, we are what our records says we are, we're a .500 team, and to finish out the season 9-7 whether we make the playoffs or not will be a success.
If Henne is winning and getting better, may show that Tannehill may do so as well.
I agree, look what Sparano did to the Jets in 1 season.

Watched every game, D-1, plus NFL Rewind.
Dolphins SHOULD be sitting at a better record but it's not RT's fault. Coaching, yes. Lack of talent at key positions, yes. Horrid OL, yes. Asking a young QB to play w. this horrid of a line -- unconscionable.
The only reason why the Phins SHOULD have won more games is because of the plays made by RT. He's the offensive MVP hand's down.
I'm a Dolphin REALIST btw. I call a spade a spade regardless of the uniform. I called out Bess as a mediocre player who limited the Phins offensively -- YEARS before he was traded (and proved me right). Look at how easily Bess was replaced in the slot -- w. how many more TDs in the slot WR position in just half a season? I call out certain "Favorite" players often long before other fans recognize their mediocrity.
Bottom Line: Tannehill ain't the problem. He's part of the cure.

And p.s. Sparano didn't ruin Henne as a QB. He's the SAME QB that he showed in all four years of college. The SAME QB that I detailed from SEASON ONE here at Miami. Halfway through the first season, I called it. And not many could see it. Henne is what he is. Reached his ceiling his 3rd or 4th year of starting college ball. Decent arm. Slow mechanics. Slow processing. Slow feet. Mediocre starter forever.
He was the same Henne I remember......made some nice throws early,as the game went on he started to miss the mark because he didn't want to make a mistake, several times he rushed his throw because of perceived pressure that wasn't there....I was rooting for Henne during his 3 yrs here but he could never take his skills to the level a starting QB in this league needs....he always will throw as many picks as he does TD....just the fact that Henne is starting doesn't say much for Gabbert....

That goes with out saying. My opinion is based purely on Henne and his time here. Tannehill is still growing and will be allowed that time to develop.
Don't blame that mess in New York on Sparano.....Sparano didn't trade a 4th round pick for Tebow, a back up QB who can't throw....that stench in NY is from their former GM.....

THIS thread coming from Dolphans1 is about the most ironic post I can think of, considering the way he wants to run Tannehill out of town (who has thus far shown himself to be superior to Henne)

Wow.
That mess in NYJ only got worse with the drafting of Geno Smith. The new GM is responsible for that pile of ****.
The former GM did bring in some decent talent along that defensive line. The problem was, they bought their O line, and once they went, the team went. Its really that simple.

The key difference I see between Tannehill (with Sherman) and Henne (with Henning/Daboll) is that our red-zone efficiency is much improved. Tannehill can get the ball to his receivers in short-yard plays better than Henne can.
Henne's timing on deep passes wasn't too bad though; of course, he's had much more QB experience than Tannehill has as the college-level.
It's difficult for me to say Tannehill is leaps and bounds better though in all aspects at this point, because he's still technically a little raw, and Sherman isn't exactly helping that with his play-calling and pure-pocket offense.
