Dion Jordan - Jadeveon clowney combine comparison

We really shouldn't be comparing them. Clowney's combine numbers are just ridiculous. As athletic as Jordan is, it's not really close. 20lbs extra, that substantially superior speed and vert. But with all Clowney's got going for him, if he keeps a bad work ethic it won't mean anything and he'll bust.

Many scouts have said that they'd put Dion Jordan in the top 10 of this year's class, though. Even over that linebacker from UCLA who is considered a top 10. Clowney is a freak. He's bigger than Jordan, stronger, faster... he's just a monster.

It's why he's going 1st overall. Jordan is a great player as well, likely more versatile than Clowney, while Clowney is straight up Jevon Kearse

Dion Jordan will be a star on Jim Harbaugh

Dolphins team next year in 2015!

Sorry for split post stupid tap to talk driving me crazy.

Clowney Will be a beast year one IMO.

So, what if Clowney goes to the Texans and is a square peg in a round hole w/ Crennel's 3-4?

I hope we are more creative with Jordan this year, but after last year I have my doubts given we have he same HC and DC.

Like when Dion lined up at DT against the stealers dropped into a zone and blew up a checkdown to an RB?

The only problem with Miami moving to a 3-4 (other than it being sucktacular & overrated) is that the phins don't have 4 LB's. Misi, Ellerbe, & Jordan sure. Jenkins? Wheeler?? Spitler???

If Miami were serious about the transition then sign Wilfork & draft Nix.

we are lucky to have Jordan, the guy is a freak.

Freaks get on the field. Jordan couldn't crack the starting lineup. By process of logic Jordan can not be a freak.

And we are not "lucky" to have wasted the number three pick in the draft on a player who can't get on the field in a year when we were one win away from making the playoffs.

What a stupid post

Don't forget Vernon played well and that limited Jordan's snaps. I think he will see the field more this year and be productive.

Jordan is a square peg in a round hole in Coyles D. 2014 he is likely to be a situational player once again.

Great coaches look at their roster, understand the strengths and weaknesses of their players, and adjust the scheme to maximize the talent. Don Shula was a great coach.

Mediocre coaches take a look at their scheme, ignore the strengths and weaknesses of the players, and play the players that most closely match the scheme. Coyles is not a great coach.

I still hate the fact Ireland traded up on a draft with no elite talent but considered to have excellent depth

Let's not forget that D-line was a position of strength for us and he ignored all our holes and gave up a 2nd to draft a guy we didn't need. I'm so glad Ireland is gone.

What a stupid post

What was stupid about it? Jordan had 16 games to crack the starting lineup and didn't. A player is only as good as he shows on the field. All the fluffing up of Jordan in this thread is the same kind of homerism that happens with fan bases of every team. Fans tend to overvalue their own players and undervalue non-home players. We haven't seen Jordan dominate a series, let alone a game; yet people here are mentioning Pro Bowl. Sheesh!

It was stupid because of the "logic" you can easily be a freak athlete and not be on the field. Especially as a rookie. That's just not how rational logic is deduced. It's 3rd grade logic

don't forget when Jordan should have stepped up to start for wake Shelby started over him because of Jordans play versus run
