Dion Jordan trade question...

Hopefully DE/OLB can be Miami's surplus strength that they can utilize for years to come. Be absolutely stacked at one position.

Problem is, it's the offense that loses games. Coyle needs to use Jordan much, much more. If our D can be scary good, maybe we can get in enough good positions that our offense doesn't have to be top-10 elite to score.

Stop being short sighted.

Jordan was drafted to replace Wake and/or Vernon in a year or two. He had set backs because of his shoulder.

Truthfully, he is a 3-4 OLB, so people calling him to replace Wheeler at 4-3 OLB, not a good idea. Give the kid time to develop and stop trying to consider him a bust after one season.

I don't care where he plays, but we keep him. Wharever happened to the BPA? He was it at 3. Our coaching staff is failing Dion. He has top talent, but is not being taught correctly. I know Dolphins fans hate this, as do I but, we need to be patient. Let's develop this awesome player and keep him like JT. Hell, bring JT in to teach him how to handle the 300 lber's.

In all reality dolphins made him a high draft pick. Was he actually the best player available. Because that is something I highly doubt and debate. Now you can say the kid is athletically gifted but that doesnt make him that high of a pick. The dolphins screwed up we had other needs. Now this kid is feeling the pressure of being something he shouldn't have been.
Personally I think he is probably more of a 2 nd rounder.

Well, according to the Miami Dolphins Dion Jordan is a 6-6, 248 lb. Defensive End. He's a much better run defender at OLB than at DE where he's got his hand in the ground and he's face to face with OTs who outweigh him by about 75 lbs. If you want to see Jordan reach his potential and get to an elite level, imo that has to happen at OLB.

MIA has been gauging trade value for '13 1st round pick Dion Jordan, league sources said, after trading up to 3rd overall for him last year

It would be a $16.4m cap hit if Miami traded him but he only counts as $4.6m against the cap if he's on the team...Can't see it happening.

Maybe someone has already explained this, but we would take a 7 million cap hit if we were to trade Jordan. I don't know where all these rumors are coming from, but they're blatantly absurd.

16.4 is actually the amount of dead money if we were to cut him, but if we traded him it would "only" be 10. I said 7 before because 7 is the amount that would accelerate from the prorated bonuses.

If this is the case then it won't happen, can't eat up that kind of cap hit....
