Dion Jordan Trade Rumors: Dolphins regret not making deal with Eagles

Wait, so Armando wonders if they regret but the title is Dolphins regret? When did Armando become part of the Dolphins front office?

If only we knew Knowshon was going to have his elbow dislocated in week 2 we would have traded him after his great game one performance. Hickey must really be kicking himself right now.

What a dumb thing for a journalist to print.

Guess the 49ers are mad they didn't shop Aldon Smith before he went crazy?

:bobdole: some of these articles......

At least Aldon Smith was good before e went crazy. Dion Jordan is a mediocre special teams player who has a life in finheaven because he ran with Gronk once!

hmmm. if it would count against this years cap and not the 2015 cap then I could see where we might regret it. lets not bash mando for pondering this, because if we could get a 2nd round pick out of the eagles and move this headache elsewhere, esp out of the AFC, then I'd be all for it.

plus he got a face mask penalty on his first sack and had the infamous sack-let go on Andrew luck.

As of this year, Jordan has $10M due from his guaranteed signing bonus. We would have to take that cap hit. We would save 3 years in his salary (not guaranteed) by trade or cut. He gets around $1M this year, 41.6 next year, and $2.6M the year after. It would be a HUGE blow to our carry over cap space.

Next year, the bonus guarantee comes down to $6.7M, and with what we will save in salary and roster bonus, we would take roughly a $1M hit. This is when it becomes feasible to make a move.

No idea how Jordan will come out of rehab but, he will have a half a year to prove if he belongs in the NFL for our team or another. All we can do is sit, wait, and hope for the best.

Former Phin Keith Sims said on Finsider that he has all the talent in the world but is a 22 year old millionaire who has not been surrounded by the right people, and needs to say no to them and get his career back in order. I recall his comment going into the suspension, saying that he had not made any arrangement to work out, and did not want to sit around by himself. For me, that was saying that he needed help.

I absolutely loved Jordan coming out. There's so much he can do on a football field, including having the athletic ability to matchup in the passing game versus tight ends.

That said, if I'm Dennis Hickey I'm looking for another pass rusher in the draft. It's so vital to get pressure on the quarterback and Jordan now is a risk for another suspension if he can't get his act together. That, combined with the age of Wake, and pass rusher is a big need going forward.

I Agree we need all the pass rushers we can get , but Chris Mccain is going to be a monster he is going to surprise alot of people , just like he grabbed Jason Taylors attention when he saw him on the pratice field ,hopefully Jordan will get his acted together and learn from these 2 mistakes that happen and get back to focusing on Football..

The kid had a lot to deal with in coming in at #3. There were the injuries, changing position (which should NOT have been done), gaining a lot of weight, and apparently a drug problem. Hard to feel sorry for a 22 year old millionaire but, I kinda do. JMO

I don't know. Might as well stick with him IMO. If he can get off this addiction or what ever I say keep him. I really don't like trading talent away.

You really want to cite anything that comes out of the Finsiders? Nothing but company sponsored propaganda.

In turn it does affect the cap next year since we can't roll over an additional 13 million....we're already near the ceiling next year.

I wish I could piss away damn near 2 million dollars and still have a chance to do something with my life.

I wish it would have been possible to trade him! As he is becoming a bigger joke of a pick! I had hoped he could come back and turn things around !! But its not looking like its going to be possible he will have a big climb ahead of him and other players who are making actual contributions!
