Do NFL teams and players respect Chambers?

I spoke with a starting NFL CB about Chambers while I was working on a show in LA. They defintely respect and gameplan for him.

They would respect him alot more if he had a Manning or Brady throwing the ball to him.. Only Qb's he has seen have been Fiedler and a bunch of awful backups...

I'm not sure they care one way or the other about Chambers. It's not a matter of respecting him or not, it's a matter of respecting the passing game as a whole entity. If a team doesn't have an effective offensive line and doesn't have a quarterback that can get the ball down the field, then a receiver can be as great or horrible as there is and the defense isn't going to respect him. Do you think Randy Moss or Terrell Owens would be as productive with the offensive line, coaching, and quarterbacking we've had the past 2 or 3 seasons? Probably not thanks to the INT"s going the other way or the QB's throwing off their backside.

I've always felt this way about chambers...

He's awfully talented. He's got everything you want (could be a little taller) physically, and makes some OUTSTANDING grabs...

but he also drops some balls that he should probably catch.

Its getting to the point in his career where he needs to become dominant. With all the circus catches, has he ever been dominant?

This is his last year, no more excuses, if he can't thrive in an offense with other WR threats, two solid RB threats, and an offense that will throw downfield, he may never be more than a second tier WR.

I would have to agree. If Chambers was with another system, i bet ya that he would already have 1,000 yards and went to the PB. I really hope that this new system will cause Chambers to do just that. But of course, it will all depend on if Feeley/Ferrote can throw him the ball.
