Do we get to move on from Martin and Incognito today?

You aren't concerned about the press raking the Dolphins over the coals when he files a wrongful termination lawsuit? Firing someone for upholding the HIPAA privacy regulations on the same day they were to be honored by the league for being the best at their profession isn't a case that most lawyers would want to defend.

No, because I don't think he has much of a case. His lawyer will threaten to go to court but in the end all they can really hope to get is a little more cash and I don't think he can even get that. To sue and win, he has to prove he was injured in some way. He wasn't. He walked out with two years pay in his pocket. Where's the injury? The report was made public by the league, so he can't blame Miami for whatever damage the report did to his reputation. He's pissed and he's bloviating. Who gives a rat's ass?

We can't release Martin without having another PR nightmare, especially if he goes public saying he intended to come back. We just gotta hold on to him for now until we can find something to do with him.

GARBAGE, make his career end and clean up afterwards.

Why palm off our damaged goods on another team?

Are you under the impression that you're hurting Martin more than the team if you cut him loose without even trying to get something for him?

Martin is worthless to fins and other teams probably know this. Which is why he will be let go no one is going to give a pick for a guy that will be let go anyways! There will be a settlement and he will be let go! Book it Danno!

Interesting scenario we have now. Since he was traded for a conditional pick, we need Martin to achieve a bit in SF so we get the pick.

Yes that is true, but he is no longer a Dolphin though so it at least avoids another possible further distraction from the team so it is what it is. Might end up in the end to be the equivalent of just releasing him, not sure if we don't end up with the pick how much money we would save or not in the end etc.
