Do you guys realize this ???

I thought the committee was only to advise on Bullygate......since when do they have the power to evaluate the coaching and GM positions? Are they also going to decide who is on the 53 man roster? Hey Ross if this is true, sell the team......

The story said that Ross is concerned about lagging season ticket sales. That much I believe. I also believe he doesn't want to make any changes, that he values stability in his organizations over other considerations. However, as a businessman, he is concerned about his bottom line and he believes that end of season collapse is going to affect season ticket sales. He's not making decisions based on what the fans think. He is gathering information about what his customers will do if he continues on the current path or a different path. He wants to make a decision based on what will optimize his bottom line and needs to have some idea of whether his customers will accept his solution to a perceived problem with his product.

The only thing that will fix this is to win......the fans will say one thing and when it doesn't work they will blame you for doing it....you can not do what the fans want because you want them to buy tickets....no one will buy tickets if they lose.....memo to Ross no one will buy season tickets this off season, I can not think of one coach or player that we could sign that will make me forget about what happened this season or the past 10 the bottom line is win then worry about season tickets...........win next yr and the ticket sales will increase.....

The committee advises. Ross makes the ultimate decision to follow or ignore their advice. It's not like the committee can overrule Ross' decision, but Ross can certainly overrule any decision at which the committee might arrive.

Exactly. I don't believe Marino, Shula, Dungy or anyone else will tell Ross who to fire--as the owner that's his decision. I do believe that they will share their assessments on Ireland and Sherman's performance and if they are honest, both are dead men walking. The 2013 draft and free agency has been a total mess. Add to that the Martin fiasco and Ireland will probably be the fall guy. Philbin is more complicated because he was Ross's personal choice. To fire him would be to admit Ross made a mistake and out of sheer ego he won't do that. I predict a new GM will be hired, probably someone like Mangini or Pioli, and out of courtesy to Ross he may give Philbin a one year probation to turn it around. Or the new GM may insist that he choose the coach, which would also take the bad guy role off Ross. Not sure about the D coordinator, but I'm one who thinks Ireland's failures at signing our current LB's has really, really hurt our D. I personally want Ireland gone yesterday.

I'm really starting to think that we're doomed as long as Ross is the owner. The Dolphins are not a real priority to him. Money's the only thing that matters and the Dolphins are just a toy he got himself to play with.

Ozzy rules!!

It's that "unnamed source" in action.Heads are gonna roll.If they dont you will lose more fringe fan base.

If we lose the part of the fan base that wants to fire everybody and start over every frickin year, then GOOD!

Two observations:

1. If the "silence" means Ross is spending a LOT of time talking with Don Shula and others of his ilk that are close to this franchise, then that is EXACTLY what we WANT him to do, and what he NEEDS to do.

2. I have a strong impression that Shula is in Philbin's corner. I also have a strong impression that he is NOT in ireland's.

To all of you out there... can you accept another Philbin year IF Shula recommends it? I know I do.

I can stomach another year of Philbin before I can stomach another year of Ireland-but not because Don Shula recommends it. Don Shula is a very old man who, to be quite frank, does not appear to have all his wits about him. I am extremely grateful for everything he has done over the years, but let's not act like the man is infallible.

What really irks me is the feeling that Stephen Ross genuinely does not have a shred of a clue about how to properly run a football franchise. I honestly think he has kept Ireland as long as he has because he is a bit lacking in the balls department.

As long as sherman isn't our OC next season we will be a lot better and if we can fix that damn OL

Recall Ireland was already given his second chance after Parcells left. There will not be a thrid chance.

Shermans Offenses have a history of scoring early and not finishing games. that is big issue with gameplanning and adjustments from game to game. Sherman and OL coach because of what will come out of Martin gate. Recall in the Marin gate scandal that philbin wanted Incognito let go last year after that golf course incident. Guess who decided to retain incognito? Ireland.

thats your problem, you think that is what he actually said? Or what some yahoo reporter threw in their to feed you dogs?

Thank god we wont have to discuss any more about Ireland.

Dez Bryants daddy.

Hows Dez doing these days?

Anyone see a problem here? You have a billion dollar investment and you can't even make your own decisions? Maybe this team is in it for the long haul until Ross sells the team or kicks the bucket.

Who would want to take the OC job when there's a good chance that Philbin may be fired if the team loses again in 2014? Sherman and Philbin are a matched set... they both need to go.

And they very well both may. Ireland provided enough talent for this team to be 11-5, 12-4. The coaches failed.

This is the funniest nonsense I have read all week.

just because it doesn't agree with your view, doesn't make it nonsense. There are plenty of ppl who think this team has talent. Just like there are plenty of ppl who think this team has little talent. Not everyone views things through the same lens. What may be terrible music to you, is my favorite & vice versa. The sooner everyone can understand that and not get caught up in 'what I think is right' the better our discussions/arguments can be :)

and yes, I'm high right now maan
