Bingo. The more things change the more they stay the same.

My philosophy on change is simple... you can't be resistant to it (i.e. Wanny, meatball Tony, Henning, Sherman) but you can't change just to change. The secret is making small tweaks periodically.

We will probably fire our assistant line coach and give Ireland a 5 year extension
 
Consider this...

Should Philbin get fired, do you think any of the other NFL teams with head coach vacancies would hire him as their head coach? No? Then he shouldn't be coaching here... he isn't good enough and this franchise should demand better.
