Do you want to know what is Insulting? (I am pissed off)

I can't even listen to people say that Montana or Young were better than Marino. It makes me sick....really. They ruin my day, and I let them.

Just like I can't listen to people say that Brady is better than Manning.

I don't even waste my breath anymore. It's useless. These people must not watch these men play and the teams around them.

And to the person that said that Emmit was better than Barry............you've gotta be kidding me right? Once the NFL brought in a salary cap, goodbye 5 probowler line for the cowboys and down the drain went emmitt smith's career (I still think he was good, but let's be serious. That was the best O-line I've ever seen).

Emmit was a better RB. He wasnt a better runner but he was a better back. He caught better, he blocked better, and he was FAR better at the goal line. The guy had heart.

I can also say Ive seen way better O lines. Denvers SB team comes to mind. Hell I think Miami had a better line one year. I remember watching the pro bowl one year and the left side of the line was Kieth Sims, Webb, and Jackson at TE.

Best there is...
Best there was...
Best there ever will be...
...and whether you like it or not, learn to love it cause it's the best post going today!!!!!!

Woooooh!

If Dan had led a team to a SB win hed be called the greatest ever. But he didnt. Is it fair....no. But thats how it is. I know he was great but I dont have to bash other OBVIOUS great Qbs to prop him up. I dont have to say " if Dan played in SF" or " if Dan had this or that". I saw him play and watched him throw and I know he was great. I dont need to hear what any reporter/talk radio geek thinks.

Still Montana was awesome too. Not sure if the poster ever saw him play ( Im thinking not) but the guy was money.

If you mean Montana, Yeah, I liked him, thought he was great. My favorite will always be Dan, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate other great players. And I'm not such a blinded, hero-worshipping homer that I pi$$ all over the legacies of other great players. But that's just me, I guess of the "people without a brain club.":)

On another note, you might try Sanka.

You said that...I didn't...but I agree.

BTW...I am not a blinded hero - worshipping homer.....I am a realist.....and my diatribe applies....on this day...of Marino's induction...I take all arguements of who was better as less than intelligent.

So in other words....go away.

Jonny Unitas or Sammy Baugh was the best QB ever. They are tied in my mind. Jonny won like no one's business before there was pass interference or roughing the QB. When Sammy Baugh started playing in the 40's a dropped pass in the endzone counted as a safety. Baugh's passing brought the NFL into the nation's spotlight. He also played Safety and Punter. In one season he led the league in Passing yardage, TD's, in passes that HE intercepted, and punting average. Marino was an amazing QB. But the old school guys will always be better in my mind.
