Didn't the Bucs sign Deshon Gholston last year? Wasn't Hickey somewhat responsible for that?

Meh...no question this signing is not exciting. Hickey is probably (other than Caserio) the candidate I knew the least about but it's senseless to get upset before the guy makes a move. We'll see how free agency and the draft go and then I'll remark on the new GM.

Why the **** not? Considering Tampa Bay has attracted the best FAs the past few years I don't see why we'd have a problem. Players really only care about $$$.
 
FAs will continue to punk us as they have in the past it seems. Have the phins show interest and then go sign elsewhere.

Exactly. Look folks, when UFA opens, not a single player says to their agent, man, that's a nice offer but I prefer this GM over here. Heck, just look at the UFA receivers that could have taken less to go to New England and play with Brady!

Miami has South Beach, no state income taxes and lots of cap money. That's a good platform. Show me a good free agent that has taken appreciably less to play for a so-called "model organization." Even Drew Brees fleeced the Saints for every dime he could.

That's BS. There are 31 other options out there. When Miami pays they come just fine. You're not going to get EVERY guy you target.
 
Pay the market value and you have a shot.

Example:

Free Agent: "Hey, Miami's acting REALLY interested in me. South Beach, No state tax, Sun & Fun, instant starter. Seems like a no brainer."
Player's Agent: "If you want to really play in Florida, I'll work Tampa Bay, or if you're REALLY serious about living in Florida, I'll talk to Jacksonville. If you want the Dolphins, you have no brain."

Hurts to even write it; but the Dolphins are the laughing stock of the NFL right now; and are doing very little to change that perception. Lightning has to strike somewhere; and stranger things have happened; but not sure any rational fans believe the Dolphins are going forward from these moves.

Lazor may be great, Hickey may get lucky in the draft, just don't see any decent FA's wanting to come to the Miami Circus.

Your wrong because every year this same exact thing is said. And every year, FA's sign in MIAMI. If posts from 2010 could still be had, it could be cut pasted and posted just like yours. You are of no original thought here, just thrown up crap recycled from past years.

Do you people have any original thoughts anymore? Or do the mental midgets run the asylum? I'm starting to see the mental midgets are increasing by the day here at FH.

In FA, the highest bidder normally wins. Its the nature of the beast. Its nothing new or novel, or just a unique MIAMI problem. You trying to make it out that way is plain stupid. As is this topic.
