Does Anyone REALLY believe the Dolphins will be able to attract any GOOD Free Agents?

I don't see why not. Anyone who has watched the team without bias should know that with a few pieces put in place mostly offensive. This team could compete. All depends on who it is of certain player wants a chance with a team that could contend with a few pieces may be interested. Plus we have a pretty decent young Qb in place. Give hime some more tools to work with and ceiling could be high!

Wow! Not one tweet about our new GM?

Miko Grimes ‏@iHeartMiko 38m

So wait... the fans arent happy with our new GM? Why am i not surprised?

Miko Grimes ‏@iHeartMiko 36m

Yall wanted Ireland gone so bad, only to still be upset about his replacement? U gotta laugh to keep from crying at this point.

Took a shower and came back to 61 mentions about the GM. Probably all negative. Smh

She is slowly learning the MIAMI fan base is schizo and childish. This board is a perfect representation of the MIAMI fan base. And its quite sad. Don't be surprised to see Grimes walk after this. Not because of the GM picked, but because of the fan base and the can't win nature of it.

He won't be the first or the last.

At this point, I am for resigning mckinney and Clabo for cheap (about 6-7 mil for both) and drafting their replacements.

Those guys will stay and Joe might actually want to keep them because they would be cheap and it takes pressure off the new guy. At the same time, we can score on this deep TE and DT draft.

No way I'd give either of them more than $2mil per. I think we should bring one in and do most of our work through FA to repair the OL, giving us some flexibility on draft day. I'd bring back Clabo before McKinnie. To the OP, money talks.

Blame the fans. It the fans fault that owners make bad decisions, GM pick bad players and coaches fail.

Read Mikos' tweets. She is the one making the point. But then again, your ability to comprehend plain ****ing english is a challenge for you.

Miami was an 8-8 team with a 2nd-yr QB and a new OC that made Nick Foles like the top-rated QB in football in terms of efficiency.
Say what you will about Philbin, but Miami was one of the least penalized teams in the league. Miam's special teams were pretty good, too. Sherman blew and he's gone.
Ireland sucked. He squandered our resources, period. He turned gold into garbage. Aponte was probably helpful in getting us into a great cap situation and that's a good thing. Quality cap management means the opportunity to acquire and retain more talent if your scouting and GM can get you the right guys. Hickey has shown the eye for getting good players.

If Lazor has good vision and can squeeze more out of Tannehill, then we can get those extra 2 wins. Miami has a good young core and the fruitful use of our resources can add more than we lose.

McKinnie is done. The last two games exposed just how bad he is facing DE in the AFC East. A upgrade one way or another needs to had for McKinnie. Clabo, while getting better late, is still a turd. A FA LT and you draft the RT spot, while looking for Gs. Keeping those 2 tackles from last year, is akin to more of the same.

Oh, I can read. It is your opinion I'm commenting on. So apparently you cant even comprehend your own posts. Typical.

Do any real Dolfans believe the Dolphins will be able to attract any decent free agents with this Clownage setup of a power structure?
I mean REALLY? The only way would be to back up Ross' Brinks truck like they did for the one-trick, 9-rout stone hands, body catcher Wallace?
Example:

Free Agent: "Hey, Miami's acting REALLY interested in me. South Beach, No state tax, Sun & Fun, instant starter. Seems like a no brainer."
Player's Agent: "If you want to really play in Florida, I'll work Tampa Bay, or if you're REALLY serious about living in Florida, I'll talk to Jacksonville. If you want the Dolphins, you have no brain."

Hurts to even write it; but the Dolphins are the laughing stock of the NFL right now; and are doing very little to change that perception. Lightning has to strike somewhere; and stranger things have happened; but not sure any rational fans believe the Dolphins are going forward from these moves.

Lazor may be great, Hickey may get lucky in the draft, just don't see any decent FA's wanting to come to the Miami Circus.

Tell me all the reasons I'm wrong.:err:

Only a tool would choose Jacksonville over Miami for anything. Tampa Bay? They might go there bc they're familiar with Lovie Smith but that's about it.

We are dealing with today. Today the MIAMI fan base is up in arms because the selection of the new GM. This thread is a example of the issues in the asylum right now. If anything, the reaction from today is the one sure thing that could be counted on by this fan base. Miko helped reinforce that belief. She is seeing first hand the dysfunction that is the MIA fan base. And sadly, she might have something to say about a TOP TIER CB looking for his last big pay day. And why stay where the fans are filled with loons? :idk:

Your inital reaction brought up everything outside of today.:rolleyes2: The coaches, the owner and the past GM. Your original comment was about everything but the current GM.

Miko actually commenting on the MIA fanbase reaction was a eye opener for me. And should be for the constant whiners on this board.

Now for your comments on the owner and coach, you are who you are, and nothing short of Ross selling this team will appease you. You have your bias. And it clouds your ability to understand those that don't believe as you. So much so, you put words in peoples mouths. And you fail to understand the simple logic of what is being said. When you have more than one person who acknowledge you have these problems, it is not them with the problem, its you. But what is seriously funny. You are the first to give me a thumbs down today. Shocking? Not really, you are who you are. Good Day.

Of course. Its all about money

Lol, incorrect as usual. Its funny you accuse me of doing what you are doing by speaking for me. I was appeased by finally firing Ireland. I would have been appeased by giving Gaine a 1 year trial deal, I would have been appeased with a well run GM search concluding in closing the deal on the best candidate for the job. We got none of this. Hickey might be ok, I doubt it. Incompetence everywhere you look within the organization but you blame the fans. The only people with no say and no power are the biggest problem. Shocking!

If we pay them the most they will come its that simple like it usually is. I do think to blame fans for them not liking that our owner could not convince multiple GM's after interviews to take the job is beyond silly.
This was not a coveted job for whatever reason and being forced to take a guy because he was becoming the only guy that would take the job doesn't look good.

Your argument would be with Miko then. She voiced the opinion, that I happen to agree with. It is simply about the reaction once the new GM was selected. The fans inability to take what is there and let it show what it has first is a problem in MIAMI. From draft day and the over hype and expectations to the predetermined notions people have whether it be the coach selected or in this case, the GM who takes the job.
