Ross didn't even want him until 3 or 4 other guys he wanted more turned him down
PROOF of all this? not media guys rumors, but OUT OF THE MOUTH of the candidate, on film saying they told ross no. AND told the reason why.
there were some who were REPORTEDLY on the list that most were FIRMLY entrenched in their current team, most on winning or solid up and coming squads. but again, seen NOTHING out of their mouths that they turned ross down or even if ANY of these guys were ever contacted?
and when someone refuses and interview, its not ONLY that they hate the owner, team, power structure, goofy fan base. maybe they do not want to uproot his family? maybe the wife or even the candidate doesnt want to live in that state, city or region!
again, there are so many people the media said were candidates, that ross actually contacted that we dont even know he actually did!!
the fans are hopping right on the hate buss. and all this "he was the last man standing" is pure nonsense. he interviewed early and the it was said by a team source he "knocked it out of the park" in his interview. and i still say HE was the guy to beat after that.
and ross and company REALLY offered the job imediately [the true last guy interviewed" to ceserio, a guy who 3 hours earlier decides all of a sudden to come in and interview? i guy who doesnt have ANYTHING to hang his hat on other than he was bill billicheks errand boy, coaching kickers for an hour, then getting lunch for bill and tom, then organizing college prospect tapes for the staff, then washing jocks for the equipment manager, then filming some punting drills, etc... . REALLY? ceserio was the guy? and farmer? [the kool kids fav, who is a newer exec and only handled pro personel, doesnt even have a 16th of the experience dennis hickey has. wtf?
ross was really going to flat out offer bill billicheks lacky the job over a 20 year personel man? come on!! at least TRY to reason.
