Can't argue with that. Butch Davis' fall was his inability to draft good players.

There are a lot of things a buddy can say to compliment you without stating "I learned more from him than he ever learned from me".................it is a well known fact Belichek used to visit and brainstorm with Saban during the off-season, its also a fact they developed their "manual for attributes for each football position" together.

Regarding your Greg Williams statement, what team at what level did he ever successfully head coach to a championship?

I think any intelligent fan would admit that Saban has to prove it in the NFL before it matters, but based on his history, and his early start here in Miami its not hard to understand the excitement of the fan base.

Surely he has the look and the feel of a great NFL coach, and while it does still have to be proven my money is on Saban and I think its going to be a very long next 10-15 years for the other teams of the AFC East.

It was in comparison to their being DC's. Greghead was a flop of a HC.

He stated Saban record as a DC and I stated Greghead had a better resume' as one but was not a good HC. Maybe he will be some day.
