Does releasing Brock Berlin has anything to do with Saban wanting to bring in Tim Couch? I read somewhere where there is apparently a contract is in the works?? If that's so whats going to happen to Sage?? I thought he did a pretty good job while he was given a chance.

Think it means Berlin onto the practice squad where he was destined to begin with. Couch in = Sage out.

not really. sage never played against even the 2nd team defense. he played against the 3rd sometimes 4th string defense all preseason.

Where did you read that a contract is in the works? Link?

Honestly, I don't know where this stuff comes from. People have us signing Couch and corey Simon, yet there is no ofical source that indicates we have any interest in either.

I dont think so, Berlin was only with us because he was local and we needed an extra body in training camp. I know you guys will disagree with me though.

Agreed. I also feel like releasing Berlin is not relevant to us signing either Tim Couch or Rohan Davey (whom I both still feel won't be a Dolphin) and that Brock Berlin will most likely be placed on the Practice Squad. If Sage ends up getting released... no doubt in my mind that we will be targeting (well start to ZERO IN even more) on Tim Couch and Rohan Davey but until then no signs of us pursuing either of them at this time in my honest opinion.

I dont have a link, Im trying to remember where I heard it, trust me i did....I just cant remember where. I hope Berlin lands in the PS, he did pretty good also when he was given a chance.

Yeah. But who knows? There may be a time when he will be activated on the PS, just in case.

Being local wasn't a factor. Brock Berlin was a practice arm. Brock was given a chance, but it didn't work out for him. Buffalo brought in Doug Flutie as a practice arm and he ended up being better than their other three guys and ended up making the team. Most teams bring in 4-5 QB's for training camp. Some are only there to be a practice dummy.

Okay, show me where WE have interest in signing him.
C'mon dude you been around enough to know this game. Every teams media ask the agent if his player wants to come to their team;. Agent answers,"Yes!" to get the team interested in writing a fat check.

I have seen nothing anywhere form ESPN, NFL.com, any South FL media that has the team expressing any interest in either of these guys. Yet members here have them signing and us making a playoff run.

C'mon people keep it together. Lets seperate fan wants from reality.

And for the record I requested a link to where Couch was signing a contract. Read my post again.

Unfortunately. But Berlin did show enough to be put on the Practice Squad.

For some strange reason I thought Tim Couch was a Packer?

and for the record, I am nto saying that either won't sign with us. I think it is just premature to report these things without any real indication that it is happening.

It seems that every time a free agent is cut loose, there is a waive of rumor that we are signing them. This leads to a billion threads about the impact they are then going to make. If Couch is close to signing a contract with us, then he knows something that even the local media who is all over the team has not even picked up on. Possible? yes. Likely? No.
