Does Tannehill want it?

We all heard and read about them plug and playing the guards throughout the offseason, like musical chairs.

we did! But what's the point of training a group if you don't pick the right personnel to start out with? When pouncey and tuener return things wil hopefully be better for the o-line, although they didn't necessarily play terrible last week.

Let Cam Wake play QB. That man has football passion.
Maybe Cam can inject some of his passion into RT? LMAO

He probably understands hes going to get benched soon, coaches have probably informed him. OR, hes mad that he cant place blame on the OL this year like last year, because, we fixed that if he hasnt noticed.

I believe that he knows (unlike the Finheaven bi-polar gang), that even though he does need to get better, he has not played that horrible, and is not in as much jeopardy of losing his starting job as some may believe.

I think the concern most of us have expressed with regard to RT isnt solely based on the Buffalo game. He was under very little pressure in the Pats game and still missed open receivers. His lone int should have been a big play and a TD to Wallace, but instead its momentum killing turnover.
RT had to know that he would be under some pressure in the Buffalo game, but didn't seem to play with that type of anticipation. I think of the 4 sacks, 2 of them were avoidable if he had better pocket instincts. Pockets breakdown all the time and the better QBs sense it early and try to evade the pressure. Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck do this all the time. For all of his athleticism, RT doesnt know how or when to use it.
Looking back the last 2 weeks, RT's TD to int ratio should be among the leagues best at 6/1, but instead it sits at a mediocre 3/2. Granted, Dion Sims dropped a catchable TD pass in game 1 and Hartline dropped another this past week, but RT has misfired on 3 others.
Those subtle differences separate upper echelon QBs from average QBs.
Right now, RT is an average QB. That means hes not going to be much of a difference maker unless he steps up his game.

Yes he wants it...he's just not good enough to get it...If he had a proven system in place with proven veterans already entrenched in the system...think aaron rodgers after favre or steve young after montana..(STOP IT ALREADY!!! i am NOT comparing qb's) then he may have a chance..he is not a leader or a winner

I have had this same question ever since the Hard Knocks episode where he didn't even know who was in his own division. You could just see the WTF look on Moore's face.

I am not ready to give up on him yet, but he does seem to fold when it is all on the line. We basically handed San Diego a playoff berth thanks to his lousy play.

No disrespect to the OP but this question is just.....I don't know, kind of dumb? The man went to college and played the sport, lives and dies by it, word is that he just ingests football day and night and watches hours and hours of film.
He may not have the skills to get what he wants but what the hell do you think he and every other sport athlete are doing this for? They are driven to succeed in the sport they chose, just not all of them are cut out for it for one reason or another. But I don't see how any of us can really question if he wants it or not. He took 58 sacks last year trying to achieve what he wants.

he likes to say um a lot, not the brightest bulb.

He has a major in biology a minor in business, did pre-med and was aspiring to a be an orthopedic surgeon.

Talk all you want about his football ability, but he's not a dumb guy, especially compared to most NFL players.

Maybe he should find a job in that field then, because he's ******* up at his day job. I honestly dont think the kid understands the GAME of FOOTBALL to its fullest (even though that statement is obvious)

he wants it hes just not good enough to take it, not even close to good enough. tannehill is 34th out of 35 qb's in the espn qbr, only chadwick henne is worse. sad, sad stuff for the tannehill lovers but it should be clear to anyone with two eyes this guy is not the answer.

Kind of Poetic to see them 2 at the bottom, from one awful 'franchise' QB to another awful 'franchise' QB that Miami just so happened to draft.
