I think the concern most of us have expressed with regard to RT isnt solely based on the Buffalo game. He was under very little pressure in the Pats game and still missed open receivers. His lone int should have been a big play and a TD to Wallace, but instead its momentum killing turnover.
RT had to know that he would be under some pressure in the Buffalo game, but didn't seem to play with that type of anticipation. I think of the 4 sacks, 2 of them were avoidable if he had better pocket instincts. Pockets breakdown all the time and the better QBs sense it early and try to evade the pressure. Russell Wilson and Andrew Luck do this all the time. For all of his athleticism, RT doesnt know how or when to use it.
Looking back the last 2 weeks, RT's TD to int ratio should be among the leagues best at 6/1, but instead it sits at a mediocre 3/2. Granted, Dion Sims dropped a catchable TD pass in game 1 and Hartline dropped another this past week, but RT has misfired on 3 others.
Those subtle differences separate upper echelon QBs from average QBs.
Right now, RT is an average QB. That means hes not going to be much of a difference maker unless he steps up his game.
