Ellerbe stated that RI was the man he would want to have his back, and a lot of his teammates feel the same. BTW, Ellerbe is one of the six members of so called leadership council, and could have been notified. I will bet Martin really got his feelings hurt when national media called him out for his lack of reps at bench press during the combine.
I really hope you are not using Omar's 1st and 10s as a reference....

I am starting to wonder if Martin was even involved in releasing the voicemails and texts or if his parents had taken control of the siutaiton against his wishes.

No Sir, that was in PBP, along with Wallace stating that he loved RI. The only thing Hitler ever loved was his Shepard, and he poisened the dog in the end.

Martin is cut from a different cloth. Like has been said many times before he probably knew fighting with Incognito is a fight he couldn't win. He comes from a long line of intellectuals and I can promise you he probably thought if he was nice to the guy it would end. Kill them with kindness. Unfortunate for him, the team and others he hit a breaking point and (in his mind) the only option left was to remove himself from the situation.
Hell...I am a big guy bit I can't fight. I am not a fighter. I don't proclaim to be one. I would probably act the same way Martin did by trying to win them over or removing myself from the situation. If I have to fight, I guess I will. But I know I am not going to do so if I know I can't win.
A lot of times in a work environment you don't like everyone you work with. Sometimes you still go have drinks with them after work, you hang out, but at the end of the day you still don't like them. But you hang out because it is for the betterment of the team. Martin kept taking, taking and taking from Incognito. At some point, even the most mentally strong person out there will break.
The million dollar question is why Martin didn't tell anyone before? Why was he keeping it bottled up to the point where he just snapped?
Btw, that looks like New Orleans and I would assume quite a few players were out that night...together.

I think that is the case Chubbs, Cogs is an idiot, and must go. But, I do not think Martins heart was in playing in the NFL. He could have handled things better rather than giving our team another bad situation.

Lots of delusion going on here. Look, for YEARS its been known that RI is a douche. Is it really that shocking and hard to believe that he harassed Martin? Every step of the way so far, a segment of people on here have blamed everyone besides RI. And every step of the way so far, they have been dead wrong. Youd thing people would get it, but I guess not.
