Dolphin "Classic" Games torrent thread

To update everyone we are only seeding the Pats FH version and the Cowboys DVD version.

Those few who are still loading last years games will still be able to finish as we are still seeding those, only we are not advertising those.:).

We abandoned the Pats HQ version because it had a defective torrent file.

someone is still grabbing the hawks game from me, but that is eating up bandwidth from my cowboys and pats seeds.... whoever is grabbing that hawks game has been grabbing it for three days now.... i don't know whats taking so long.

is anyone ever going to put up the washington game from last year?

we should formulate a "request" list... have each member request one or two games, that way people don't list 20 games like that one member did!

I think so many people are trying to d/l the Cowboy game that it is eating up bandwidth available for the others. I'm trying to finish the high-quality Patriot MNF (2nd version) and I am at 98% with a blazing 1 (one) kbps d/l... when it is even registering the fact that it's d/l-ing. This with a 150 DSL. I have about 20 M to go and it says it will be done in just 9 hours. It's like filling a swimming pool with an eyedropper with water from a dry well!

I can't imagine how you guys are getting 40-50 kbps d/l speeds.

I wonder if the # of people who are d/l and u/l at the same time has anything to do with it. I'm a newbie at this torrent thing, but it seems like the idea of maybe 1 or 2 finishing a specific file and just seeding that file would work better. Or, (drumroll please), maybe someone would have an old unused system that could be a SERVER and just seed the files to all. I think we're just all getting bogged down with the number and size of files.

Ideas?

We have lost several seeders on the Pats FH torrent.There are 5 of them left.
Most of the BW is being used up by the Cowboys game.(I am not controlling it). The way torrents work is that you add up the BW of all those loading and seeding and that BW is spread to all the leechers.

Guys please stay online when you finish.You can still watch the game and burn to CD while you are doing it.If you have to stop seeding for awhile please come back.All you have to do is open the torrent file .It will say checking until it gets to the end of the file and it will start uploading.

If you suspect you have firewall issues then you might try a more advanced client. http://www.bitcomet.com/ which usually gets a little better speed but is a resource hog.
 
Another problem is that someone with an IP stating with 66.173 is drawing 340.00 kps from us on the Cowboys game.That is blazing fast.When leechers with high speed connections get on line it draws BW away from the rest of us..He is uploading at 185 kps.We need those high speed connections to seed for us.

Yesterday we had Dolfan 19 with a high speed connection draw BW away from us only to see him cut and run when he finished.That hurts our overall efforts.

We need people to stay on seeding for at least 24 hrs
 
still slowly getting the cowboys game.. having issues with my firewall. I am also working on a torrent tracker/info page, and getting where I work to open a few ports. I wish I could host from work I can't open up my works firewall to risky for to many people to start using bittorrent, but we have 2 OC's = 150MB/ps ... Grraaahhhh I wish I didn't have to secure this thing so much.

I got a 1.4 rating on my cowboys without having it finished.. hopefully in the next day or two.
 
Good morning all. I just finished D/L the Cowboys with a 1.480 share rating and will continue to seed. A few questions:

I'm using BitTorrent and it has settings in the lower left for the type of connection (automatic, unlimited, dsl, cable seeder, t1, t3, super-seeder). What setting is best to optimize. With unlimited the 2 peers on now are getting about 30kb/s to 35kb/s. I've tried other settings with no observable difference.

Also since my D/L is complete, if I have to reboot this system, how do I resume seeding. Do I just double click that same torrent file that started the d/l or is there a different way. Thanks

Thats right.You can open the torrent file.The client will check the file and then start uploading.Thanks for your help.

As far as the settings go (I assume you are using bitornado) dont worry about the settings.I have not seen any difference in them.BTW dont pay much attention to the stats and stop lights systems on some of the clients.They are usually not accurate which is why I recommend the no frills
official client especially for newbees who tend to get confused with all of the bells and whistles.

Are you throttling your upload BW? .Thats not nice.You need to give back at least what you take.

I'm at 83% now but its going much quicker, it might be done today! :tongue:

Those who cut and run especially with high speed connections will be exposed.
 
I know that there's a way to block certain IP's from the loading torrents, there is an option on BitComet to do this. In the future anyone that does not seed for at least 24 hours, should be banned from loading any more games.
