Dolphin "Classic" Games torrent thread

I'm trying to fix the sound problems in the Bears game, but it's messed up in several places, I think I may just try to rip it again. Sorry it's taking so long.

i downloaed the cowboys game thinking it was a divx or whatever, but its dvd files
i dont have a dvd burner... is there anyway to watch this on my computer?

Igor, you can but it's sorta complicated. If you have a program that can burn DVDs, try making a DVD image using those DVD files. I'm not sure though, maybe someone else can help

open the video_ts file in your windows media player.... WMP will then give you the chapters on the side bar... that file links all the files together.

its not as self-explanatory as a simple one-file double click, but you can watch it.

if you don't have a burner i would recommend not leaving it on your computer for too long as its near 4 Gig and that is a lot of space to take up if you don't ever plan on burning it. This of course wouldn't matter if you have a 120 gig drive or something and not a lot of files on your machine. for now though please continue to seed it as we need all the help we can get!

download the newest windows media player (version 10), as it makes playing DVDs & DVD files much easier.

you could also go to download.com and get a DVD player like InterVideo or Win DVD.... or do a search on download.com for "DVD player" and down the list scan for one that is free.... shouldn't be too hard.

hope that helps.

Did you guys want the Dolphins-Bears 1985 game in DVD format just like the Cowboys game? Cause if that's all you want, I can serve that up easily. My problem right now is just encoding it for a smaller file, but if you want the DVD files straight up, we can get this going RIGHT NOW

yes please.

i prefer the DVD games tenfold to the smaller games.

i think though that maybe the DVD games should be kept privately for the "inner circle" as not everyone wants the DVD versions.... maybe cap a smaller version at a later date for the general public.

People can PM if they want the torrent link or something for the DVD games. I just find a hard time believe that all those people downloading the cowboys game are actually burning the DVDs.... some (like Igor79 who was honest enough to admit that) are under the impression its just a regular file and just want to watch it.

In light of the amount of bandwidth that eats up, and how its easier to seed the DVD files first for you, can we just do that, secret-squirrel style first, then compress it and publicly give that link later?

anyone who wants the DVD version could get it if they PM, or just post it here and put a HUGE disclaimer. i dunno, really up to crunch and the rest of the team as they started it.

Put my vote up for DVD though, as its ten times better to watch on a big screen :)

thanks for the help, but its not working in WMP...theres two video_ts files and neither open... i also tried interactual dvd player and none of the files would open...

Do you have a high speed connection such as a TI,T3 or internet 2?.If you dont it will be a struggle to get the BW needed for a 4gig file.Max Power has a T3 and is still seeding the Cowboys torrent he upped.Tex also has a T3 which meant that he could finish relatively fast.Put them Together and we have had fair seeding on that torrent. But the rest of us are still loading it after 4 days .

The Pats torrent suffered as a consequence as much of our totaL accumulated BW was drawn off to accomodate those high speed connections on the Boys torrent who unfortunately did not stay on to seed when they finished .I saw speeds of up to 340kps.That BW came from us.We need those T3 to stay on to help us seed.(So far the correlation has been fastest speed ,biggest jerk  )

Max Power was going to upload the 85'Bears game.So I am waiting for him to come back.In the meanwhile if you would standby we would appreciate it unless you tell me you do have a fast connection or that you can come up with a smaller file.

While we all like the quality of the DVDs we have struggled with them as it seems to attract the wrong kind of people. Those with the Plasma screens an top end equipment but with little spirit of sharing (Do I sound Jealous  ?)Many of our members do not have DVD burners or HD space to accomodate them and seed.

So we need to get back to the compressed files if we can.We have done a good of supporting those and the high end guys will leave us alone as the quality would not be considered of commercial quality. They are designed to be viewed on your PC and will suffer by comparison if they are played on a DVD.If you have trouble making a compressed file then we will consider a DVD but only one at a time.

Right now we couldnt handle a third torrent. We need to do a good job of these.

Tex please take off the advertising on your sig (Leave the torrent link on) for awhile and I will do the same so we can finish off these two torrents.

Just wanted to say I downloaded the Pats game last night using BitComet and everything worked great. I'm new to all this and appreciate the work you guys have done.

I'll stay connected for the next day or so to help "seed" (I think that is the correct term).

On the Pats game, can that be burned to a CD/DVD and then played in a DVD player?

Thanks again for all your help on this site.

Yes it can or you can split it into 2 files and fit them in to two regular CDs.Thanks for your help in seeding.

Crunch,

I switched over to bitcomet from bittornado. neat interface yet i'm not getting any dl from the seeders. I think my IP is 66.12*.*.* I'm constantly uploading 8-25K and getting 1-4K down, while stuck at 97%. Its no ones fault in particular but this is a tuff torrent to take.. beeen almost a whole week.

With that beeing said i hope to have test site in early february to mess around with. The site will include links to downloads, Help, faq, and the torrents and trackers. I'll let you guys know when i have more done. And hopefully i can get this game.. one of my favorites:

I was at a family gathering and my uncle in law always badgers me about being a dolphin fan. He was on my case saying that Jay sucks (he does) and that they are horrible and probably get picked off 10 times and blown out. After all it was thanksgiving. My Uncle in law is all about baseball and has a huge stick up his butt that the marlins aren't treated as well as the Dolphins. Needless to say we spanked em!! Yet he blamed it all on poor play of the cowboys :rolleyes2 Well the funny thing is, when we do make the playoffs.... guess who will be at my doorstep asking me for a ticket :rolleyes2

heres to hoping i finish my torrent today!!!!

I'm thinking 1.5 GB is the perfect size that splits on 2 cds and is nice enough that you can master your own dvd with it and have it look nice. It is less then half the size of a dvd and like i said should be quite nice.

Sounds just about right to me.:) .Removing commercials and pregame shows will bring it down to that size while still giving good quality.

Ok Guys I'm back.

Sorry I missed yesterday but I was out in the field at work & away from my desk...saw that I was upping at 160+kb/s yesterday...sweet.

I've got the '85 Bears game here (dvd size, at 4.22GB), in a torrent, & ready to go. I saw that the (so far) best tracking site is down, though....
