Dolphins 2012 SALARY CAP situation; not a lot of room, folks

There's room but the team needs to make smart decisions, we dont have Arizona's 'give a backup QB top 5 money' kind of cap space lol.

Incognito makes almost $5 mill a year? I can do what he does for that and I am a skinny white boy.

no wonder they never showed us his contract when he signed...if thats accurate he's severely overpaid

Vernon Carey and Incognito are both mauler right guard types. I am pretty sure that Philbin likes more athletic, movement guys at guard. They had some good players like Wells and Colledge who could move. The kid Sutton maybe was closer to a mauler but I am pretty sure he moves much better than Carey and Incognito.

I think Philbin will love Pouncey. But, I would be concerned about the lack of mobility at guard. Maybe you salvage Incognito at right guard and get a left guard in here that can move. I admit I am wildly speculating though.

i can see Bell being cut which i am 10000% behind. I thnk we might switch to a 4-3/3-4 hybrid which than I expect Starks to be used as NT in the hybrid times and Langford getting the boot with Soliai OR soliai retained and starks traded.

They tried STARKS as a NT. He SUCKED at it.

Okay, so the number that site gives isn't accurate. Wonderful. My point is that whatever the actual number is, not resigning Solai saves you nothing towards it.

Yes it does! SOLIAI got $12 Million last season, and THEREAFTER, we were $9 Million under the "cap" going into the season. That means that, all things being equal, if SOLIAI is NOT resigned, MIAMI would be $21 Million under the "cap". Some of you are just engaging in hypertechnical sophistry saying otherwise.Try concentrating on the "bottom line".
